Defense witness Ratko Mladic was found dead in The Hague

Witness Protection of the Republika Srpska Army, General Ratko Mladic, who is accused by the Hague tribunal for war crimes and genocide, was found dead in a hotel in The Hague, according to the website of the International Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia.

The report said that the body of a forensic expert Dusan Dunicha who came to The Hague to speak at a hearing on the case Mladic, was discovered by the representative of the tribunal and the employee of the hotel where he was staying. This happened on the same day when Dunich had to testify.

On the causes of death Dunicha the report says nothing. Now the Dutch investigators are investigating.

65-year-old Dunich previously has spoken at meetings of the Tribunal, including for President of the Republic of Srpska Radovan Karadzic and acquitted the Kosovo field commander Ramush Haradinaj.

The former commander of the armed forces of the Bosnian Serbs, Ratko Mladic, held on charges of war crimes during the civil war in Bosnia in 1992-1995. In particular, he is accused of mass destruction in the Srebrenica massacre and the siege of Sarajevo. In Russian
