Putin threatened to target funds on drums threatening Russian territory

Russian President Vladimir Putin vowed to target the Russian Armed Forces and modern percussion funds to those areas that threaten Russia. He said this after a meeting with President of Finland Sauli Niinistö, the press service of the Kremlin.

"I think that the best guarantee of security of Finland - is its neutral status. Because, as soon as there is any threat on the part of the neighboring state, Russia must respond appropriately and build its defense policy - so as to neutralize the potential threat in his address. If someone threatens some of our territories, it means that we will need to properly target our armed forces, advanced drums funds for the territories of which pose a threat to us. And how could it be otherwise? NATO also goes to our borders, and we are not somewhere to move, "- said Putin.

He said that does not see "anything that would have made us particularly worrying."

"But I would nevertheless did not here anything to escalate. Of course, we'll analyze everything carefully monitor this, but I do not see anything that would have made us particularly excited. It's more political signs against Russia or against its allies. We are more concerned about, say, to deploy a missile defense system - this is a serious thing of strategic importance, "- said Putin.
