Russia has deployed more troops and ammunition in the occupied Donbas

Censor.NET writes citing the report of Ukraine's Defense Intelligence.

A convoy of military equipment for the rotation of units which suffered substantial losses at Avdiivka entered Ukraine from the Russian Federation in Yasynuvata area. The situation in the Avdijyvks zone has deteriorated sharply, Ukraine foreign ministry statement runs March 13.

The Russian command formed a tactical group consisting of 800 servicemen, 19 tanks, 30 APCs, 122-mm and 152-mm artillery guns, 120-mm and 82-mm mortars and 122-mm Grad missile batteries. In so doing, the Russians violated the Minsk agreement banning heavy artillery 30-km from the touchline.

The shelling of Ukraine army positions do not merely cause the deaths of Ukraine servicemen and civilians but destroy critical life-supporting facilities which may lead to a humanitarian disaster in the area, the FM statement continues.

If the Donetsk sewage-filtering station is destroyed, the area may be hit by the outbreaks of dysentery and hepatitis.

The rebels and their Russian command are impeding the work of OSCE monitors, since objective and impartial monitoring of the ceasefire situation is not what Moscow needs, the foreign ministry statement says.

The Main Administration of the National Police in the Donetsk region is looking for Yurii Voshko (born Aug. 21, 1963, resident of Kostiantynivka) - who is the leader of a gang which committed 40 armed robberies and other crimes.
Censor.NET reports citing the Main Administration of the National Police in the Donetsk region. Four members of the gang have been apprehended as of today..

Voshko is a former district militia officer who resigned in 2003. His gang involved five members. He controlled all the processes, developed the plans of the attacks, and distributed the plunder. The gang has terrorized the residents of the Donetsk region since May 2014.

The gang raided selected houses with firearms and bladed weapons. The intruders penetrated the house under the guise of community service workers. They tied up, beaten and tortured people. They tried to attack when there were only women in the houses, taking everything valuable including even food.

One of such attacks took place in Dec. 2015 in the town of Chasiv Yar in the vicinity of Bakhmut. The bandits followed a family and studied their daily routine for a long time, collecting information from the neighbors. They broke into the apartment where a young woman with a year-old baby was at the time. They tied up the mother, stole the money and golden jewelry, and fled. The child was crying in an arena, while the woman was not able to escape.

The officers managed to apprehend two perpetrators of the crime. One of them had been hiding in Russia and was stopped at the border while trying to get in the Luhansk region. Another one was constantly changing the place of residence. The police tracked him in Melekine in the Donetsk region, where he moved from Kyiv.

The criminals confirmed the testimony of the other band members and admitted committing a series of robberies and other crimes.   In Ukrainian

...This quiet rehabilitation began after Vladimir V. Putin came to power in 1999. Stalin’s legacy has become a tacit justification as the Putin government has strengthened its own grip on power. Under Stalin, “order” and national prestige trumped human rights or civil liberties.

“By raising the figure of Stalin, the Putin regime is trying to raise the idea that collective interests are more important than individual lives, and that means the regime has less responsibility to society,” Lev Gudkov, who conducts the Levada Center’s Stalin polls, told me....

When Russia is besieged by enemies, including a government in Ukraine that the state news media has described as a “fascist junta,” the image of Stalin the defender against Nazis wins out over that of Stalin the paranoid tyrant. ...

...Europe — governments and public opinion — connects Moscow's military support of Syrian President Bashar Assad, and their air strikes over populated areas, with the recent worsening of the refugee ordeal. To them, the Kremlin has become a threat to security, stability and prosperity on the European continent.

Since the annexation of Crimea and war in eastern Ukraine, Europeans have very little trust in the Russian leadership, and no big expectation as to what Moscow can deliver. [i]....Backman stirred up the trolls, Aro says. Soon after she began to receive "very disturbing messages, absurd messages, trolling messages" in Russian, English and Finnish, on the internet and by phone. And over time – as she has written more stories about their activities – they have just become worse.
"All these horrible things [they say] have given me this feeling of fear sometimes. They stalk me all the time. They stalk everything that I do on social media. They take my pictures and add them to [false blogs]."
They "repurposed" her holiday photos, they emailed editors and politicians to call for her sacking. They even stalk her friends.
At one point, one offered to "play down" the hate speech against her if she apologised and promised to stop writing about pro-Russian trolls – an offer Aro considered blackmail.
Such trolls, Aro says, are having an unhealthy impact on freedom of speech and democracy more broadly....
