A Swedish court has rejected the appeal of Russia for the sale of the building trade mission in Stockholm

Swedish appeals court rejected a claim Russia over the sale of the building of the Russian trade mission in Stockholm. As published on Tuesday, June 16 the agency RAPS court session at the request of the Russian Federation was held on 11 of June. Appeal the decision of the judges, the Russian side will be able to July 7, 2015.

The auction for the forced sale of Russian Trade Mission building in the Swedish capital was held September 12, 2014 on the basis of the claim of the German businessman Franz Sedelmayer (Franz Sedelmeyer). He insisted on compensation for financial losses incurred as a result of attempts to organize their own business in St. Petersburg in the early 1990s. Sedelmayer demanded from Russia 8.5 million dollars.

German entrepreneurs were able to prove in court that the building of the Russian trade mission in Cologne and Stockholm have diplomatic immunity. In 1998, the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce Arbitration upheld his claim. But in 2011 the Supreme Court of Sweden decided to auction seven-storey office and trade delegation of the proceeds from the auction, to pay Sedelmayer. In February 2014 Sedelmayer also made the sale of property of the Russian trade mission in Cologne 6.5 million.
