In Russia, called the three scenarios that can wait Ukrainian pilots and people's deputy of Hope Savchenko illegally convicted in Russia: escorting the colony exchange for Russian citizens convicted or arrested abroad and extradited to Ukraine to serve their sentences at home.
This was reported by RIA Novosti.

Sentence citizen of Ukraine Hope Savchenko, condemned 22 years of imprisonment in a penal colony, came into force, the press-secretary of the Donetsk Court of Rostov region Yulia Kalacheva.

"The Court has not received any appeal against the sentence of one of the parties. Neither the prosecutor nor the victims nor the accused and their defense to appeal the verdict did not, so at 00:00 hours, he has entered into force, "- said the spokesman.

Now the fate of Savchenko can develop under three scenarios.

1. The transportation

According to the law, a convict colony etapiruyut within ten days from the day the judgment comes into force. Usually the convict is sent to the colony in the region of residence, but this rule does not apply to convicted Muscovites and foreigners. So Savchenko may be in any of the 60 women's colony.

For the safety of the colony in what is sent to the convicted, FSIN only notify her relatives.

2. exchange

From the day the sentence comes into force may also be started a process agreement on the exchange of Savchenko Russian citizens in custody abroad.

Protecting Ukrainian military expects Savchenko can be exchanged for the former Russian military and Alexander Alexandrov Evgeny Erofeev, which judged in Kiev.

Lawyers also put forward the version that the Ukrainian troops could be exchanged for prisoners in the United States Konstantin Yaroshenko and Victor Bout.

Exchange Savchenko and did not rule out an official representative of the Investigative Committee of Russia Vladimir Markin. "Of course, justice demands that everything has stayed 22 years old, but if it will help to pull out from Kiev dungeons good and honest people, and then we can go to the exchange," - he said in an interview with the newspaper "Evening Chelyabinsk" on 1 April.

A spokesman for the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov, last week told reporters that he has no information about the exchange of Savchenko and said Monday that "new elements in this matter."

Meanwhile, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov told RIA Novosti described the talks about Savchenko exchange "speculation" and said it "is not the subject of our dialogue with the United States." "During recent contacts, including at the highest level while staying here US Secretary of State John Kerry and subsequently, no options Savchenko exchange for someone else was not discussed", - said Ryabkov.

"There are two former Russian military personnel who are awaiting trial in Kiev, Alexander and Yerofeyev. Here is the same: there is no exchange of views with the Americans regarding the release Savchenko under the guarantee of release or transfer of those of our citizens were not. And, in principle, we believe that such speculation does not help the cause, "- Deputy Minister said.

3. Serving punishment in Ukraine

Protection Savchenko believes that in the near future Ukrainian government asked Russia to extradite convicted to serve their sentences at home.

"As far as I know, immediately after the sentence comes into force, Kiev send the extradition request for transfer to serve his sentence Savchenko in Ukraine", - he told RIA Novosti her lawyer Nikolay Polozov.

He recalled that the Convention on the Transfer of Sentenced Persons of 1983, a response to such a request is given within a month. "However, it may be asked, and the extra month, so the deadline for the response of the Russian side - 60 days", - said runners.

The lawyer added that article 12 of the Convention allows the State which takes its citizens to serve their sentence of another country, amnesty or pardon of the convicted person. In Russian/русский

"Her demand is her immediate return to Ukraine," Nikolai Polozov, one of the Savchenko's lawyers, wrote on Twitter on April 4.

Polozov had earlier twitted that Savchenko's "health condition is stable. She only drinks water."

Savchenko, 34, was sentenced on March 22 on charges including complicity in the killing of two Russian journalists in eastern Ukraine in 2014. The sentence comes into effect on April 5.

She denies the charges and has gone on several hunger strikes protesting her detention and the court case........

"The sentence imposed Savchenko. We believe that the question regarding recognition of her guilt is completely closed. Now we are talking about the fact that she had to serve time of the punishment for a crime, "- he said in an interview to RIA" Novosti " .

Ryabkov said that, "despite numerous speculations about certain exchanges or schemes, which could lead to her release, I declare with full confidence that it is not the subject of our dialogue with the United States."

In particular, "in the course of recent contacts, including at the highest level while staying here US Secretary of State John Kerry and subsequently, no options Savchenko exchange for someone else was not discussed."

"There are two former Russian military personnel who are awaiting trial in Kiev, Alexander and Yerofeyev. Here is the same: there is no exchange of views with the Americans regarding the release Savchenko under the guarantee of release or transfer of those of our citizens were not. And, in principle, we believe that such speculation does not help the cause, "- said Ryabkov.

Washington said that not considering the possibility of sharing Savchenko on serving sentences in the United States Russians .

Talking about the exchange of Hope Savchenko Russian Grushnik will be when in Ukraine will enter into force verdict Russians. That is the verdict for Yerofeyev Eugene and Alexander Alexandrov will be the legal basis for the exchange, noticed the lawyer Yerofeyev Oksana Sokolovskaya, the agency "Interfax-Ukraine" .

This defender of the Russian military added that a political solution could be the basis for an exchange at any stage of the trial.

"I believe that the verdict in the case of intensive hearings may be held in late April. Again, given the appeal assigned to elect me to a preventive measure - detention, replacement lawyer is quite possible, prolong the proceedings and, accordingly, the imposition of the sentence, "- she commented.

Sokolovsky also recalled that the Ukrainian authorities have repeatedly stated about the impossibility of execution by Savchenko in Ukraine due to its illegality.

"Which again confirms the absence of legal justification of such an exchange", - said the lawyer. In Russian/русский
Few should be surprised that the Kremlin has floated a proposal to exchange Ukrainian pilot Nadezhda Savchenko, recently sentenced to 22 years in prison, for several Russian nationals in U.S. custody. Even if those Russian nationals included the convicted international arms trafficker Viktor Bout, who is serving a 25-year prison term for a conspiracy to supply MANPADS to a Colombian terrorist group, and the former Russian pilot Konstantin Yaroshenko, who is serving a 21-year term in a U.S. prison for drug smuggling.

The proposal is likely not politically feasible in Washington. This seems clear enough from the strong denials from the U.S. Embassies in Moscow and Kiev. Moreover, the fact that Russian officials are going public is essentially an acceptance it has failed to sell the deal. At the same time, Russia is still scoring important political points that might yet yield the desired results.

The Kremlin’s primary objective is to impress upon Washington that the United States should cease its practice of arresting Russian nationals in third countries on charges brought in the United States. These arrests are often made as a result of sting operations by undercover U.S. government agents — both Bout and Yaroshenko’s arrests were stings. Moscow has made little secret of its displeasure with such U.S. acts, which it views as an illegal extraterritorial application of U.S. law.

Moscow is making the point that the United States should no longer apply such practice to Russian nationals. And in doing so, it is resorting to the old Soviet toolbox — creating leverage to exert political cost, then offering a “fair trade.”

During the Cold War it was inconceivable that the Unites States would kidnap a Soviet citizen abroad without triggering a superpower crisis. Russian leaders see value in reverting to the full “superpower parity” mode — not only in Syria, but across the board of Moscow’s complex but important relations with Washington. It is part of the Russian game to regain “street cred” from any future administration in Washington. It is also a great sell domestically — “taking care of ours” and standing up to the U.S. bully..................

The Southwest Florida Ukrainian American community commemorated one of the greatest, if not the greatest, son of Ukraine, Taras Shevchenko (18141861) last Sunday with a special program at St. Andrew’s Ukrainian Religious and Cultural Center (the “Oseredok” to Ukrainians). In his “Zapovit” (My Testament) Shevchenko wrote: “And in the great new family, the family of the free, with softly spoken, kindly word remember also me.” Ukrainians all over the world do this every year during March.

Professor Vira Bodnaruk of Venice, who chaired the committee organizing the affair, professionally emceed the program. It consisted of recitations of Shevchenko’s poems and singing of his songs, in addition to a brief but comprehensive keynote address by Neonilia M. Lechman of Venice. She managed to convey the greatness of Shevchenko, who was born a serf, yet rose to become professor of Imperial Academy of Arts, and, most importantly, he gained eternal love and admiration of Ukrainians thanks to his art, poetry, patriotism and his prophetic vision which resonates even now.

The United Choir directed by Lubow Ingram of Venice began the program with the singing of Shevchenko’s “Zapovit,” while the public, as is the tradition, was standing with respect.

Later the choir sang two more of Shevchenko’s songs. The thunderous applauses were accorded the very young performers, 6-year-old Sofiya Tkach and 9-yearold Roksolana Tkach, students of Pine View School in Osprey, and North Port’s Glenallen Elementary School students Anastasia, 11, and Natalia Kudelko, 8, who recited Shevchenko’s poems and sang his songs to the delight of the audience.

Other participants of the program were Petro Fridrich, Roma Steckiw-Long and Anya Rejnarowycz.
The attendees also had an opportunity to view a selection of publications on display, courtesy of the Ukrainian Language Society.

The Ukrainian Easter Bazaar sponsored by St. Andrew’s Ukrainian Religious and Cultural Center will take place from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday, at 4100 S. Biscayne Drive. There will be a Ukrainian arts and crafts exhibit, pysanky (Ukrainian Easter eggs) decorating, traditional Ukrainian food and pastries, and a special attraction: Ukrainian dancers at 2 p.m.

The trial in Kiev over the GRU of the General Staff of the Russian Federation Evgeny Erofeev Alexander Alexandrov and is not directly connected with the court in Russia over the people's deputy of Ukraine Hope Savchenko, but its excessive delay will not help improve the situation of Ukrainian women. This broadcast "Shuster.Live" said her lawyer, Ilya Novikov.

"I am convinced, for its part, that the Russian authorities are not very interested in the fate of Alexander and Yerofeyev. In this sense, the synchronization would be important only if we had a pre-agreed terms that such an exchange will take place as soon as the sentence came into force. As far as I know, no such formal agreements, although there are prerequisites, there are negotiations ", - he said.

At the same time, the lawyer said that the trial of Savchenko delayed by the Russian state prosecution several times, "so there is a feeling that there watching, so as not to break too forward."

In general, Novikov said that the protection of Ukrainians do not have specific wishes that was accelerated trial of the Russians.

"On the other hand, if it is over-tightened, the Kyiv Court, it probably does not improve the situation of Hope", - he added. In Russian
The Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office has transferred four indictments in criminal cases to court.

Authority's head Nazar Kholodnytskyi said on air of 112 Ukraine, Censor.NET reports.

"Four indictments have already been taken to court," he noted. According to Kholodnytskyi, these are the cases of a Severodonetsk judge accused of extorting $6,000, Hoseksportkontrol official Serhii Holovatyi charged with soliciting a bribe of $250,000, as well as of two SBU officers who tried to obtain illegal $70,000.

Nadiia Savchenko's lawyer Ilya Novikov told about the results of his talks with U,S. politicians and diplomats regarding the case of Ukrainian pilot illegally held in Russia saying that a real breakthrough happened this week.

This was announced by one of Savchenko's lawyers, Ilya Novikov, on his Facebook page, Censor.NET reports.

According to him, the main thing now is that Nadiia Savchenko started to drink water: "During the previous week, it was like a ticking timer at my ear all the time. It was difficult to live and work. Now we have at least another ten days - plenty of time to think of it. Now the focus has shifted to diplomacy."

Novikov said that the breakthrough came earlier this week. Secretary of State Kerry and Vice President Biden both made quite harsh statements.

"The United States does not recognize Savchenko's trial an internal affair of Russia. They believe that after the 'LPR' militants captured her, she was taken to Russia by force, so they demand to release her immediately without any conditions. I asked the same question at every meeting for a week: "Did the administration really mean what Kerry said?" Today, I received an answer from the person who knows about the whole situation. "Yes, we really mean it," he wrote, adding that "there are people in the Congress who are much more aggressive. One of my buddies called Minister Lavrov a "cruel bastard, whose place is in the Magnitsky sanction act." But sanctions are managed by the State Department, not the Congress, although the support of the Congress may encourage the administration to act more resolutely."

The main outcome as of today is that Russia's "No" in response to demands of the U.S. to release Nadiia Savchenko does not satisfy the U.S., and the conversation does not end. The U.S. does not recognize Savchenko's trial as an internal affair of the Russian Federation. In the remaining days before March 21, when the verdict will be announced, political wheels will continue to spin. However, nothing pleasant for the Russian leadership is going to pop up; Russia will not make a good deal," the lawyer summed up.  In Ukrainian
The team of Ukrainian doctors, who were trying to visit and examine Nadiia Savchenko in jail, were on their way to Kyiv from Rostov, but returned. They are currently in Kamensk-Shakhtinsk waiting for permission to visit the Ukrainian pilot.

Savchenko's sister Vira told Censor.NET correspondent.

"The doctors left for Ukraine today. However our ministers told them to return when they were already at the border. The new hope has evolved that they will manage to get inside the remand prison," Vira Savchenko said. Nadiia's sister confirmed that she called Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation Ella Pamfilova and her assistants. "Pamfilova said that the doctors should be issued visit permits," Vira Savchenko said.

It should be reminded that the Ukrainian servicewoman and MP Nadiia Savchenko said that only Ukrainian or Western doctors would be allowed to examine her and she would fend away the Russian ones. Kyiv has sent a team of three doctors. They were waiting for permission to visit Savchenko in Rostov. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that the doctors would not get visit permits as Nadiia Savchenko demonstrated a defiant attitude to the court.   In Ukrainian
Moscow expects that Kyiv will agree to hold elections in the “Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics” while Putin sees possible release of Savchenko as a public demonstration of the Kremlin's willingness to compromise able to stimulate manageability of the Ukrainian authorities.

Serhii Rakhmanin wrote in his article for ZN.UA citing own sources, Censor.NET reports.

"According to our sources, the Russian president has personally promised Angela Merkel to return Nadiia to the homeland (most likely by granting her a pardon and subsequently exchange for captured GRU operatives). At the same time the passing of a verdict to her was postponed as the Kremlin master's reaction to violent protests near the Russian diplomatic missions in Ukraine," the article reads.

"However, having Savchenko's release in his plans, Putin pursues another goal: he seems to be inclined to believe that her stay in a Russian prison makes his life harder while being at large in Ukraine, she may turn into a problem for Poroshenko, who is far less decisive than the brave prisoner, who has said from behind the bars that "Russia can be made knuckle under if one have stomach for it..." He said he would support this measure if it was clearly differentiated from those which had been already introduced, namely sanctions related to the Russian aggression in Ukraine's east and the Crimean annexation, Pifer told Interfax on Thursday.

At the same time, he suggested waiting for the Russian court ruling in Savchenko's case and see what happens afterwards. Pifer said he had no doubts she would be found guilty.

He also stressed that the Russian leadership had to have a clear understanding of conditions for the sanctions to be lifted, noting that unless there were a clear distinction between various kinds of sanctions, they were unlikely to achieve a desired result.........

U.S. Permanent Representative to the United Nations says Russia demonstrates blatant disregard for its commitments under the Minsk agreements.

Censor.NET reports citing the statement by Ambassador Samantha Power on Russia's continued detention and trial of Nadiia Savchenko.

She wrote: " Nadiya Savchenko, a former Ukrainian pilot and current member of Ukraine's parliament, was abducted in eastern Ukraine on June 17, 2014 and taken across the border to Russia, where she remains detained on baseless charges. Today, in spite of a "dry" hunger strike in which she has not had any food or liquid for nearly a week, Savchenko took the stand to deliver her closing statement in a farcical trial.

"Russia's continued detention of Savchenko demonstrates blatant disregard for its commitments under the Minsk agreements. Savchenko - as well as all Ukrainians who are being held illegally by separatists and by Russia - should be free.

"Twice I've had the honor of meeting Maria Savchenko, Nadiya's mother. She has had to follow from afar the harrowing accounts of her daughter's health deteriorating in prison, with no idea when she might be freed, or worse, whether she might die. In a video statement she released yesterday, Maria said, "I'm so nervous, I forgot what it's like to sleep."

"Yesterday marked Nadiya Savchenko's 600th day of wrongful imprisonment. She belongs back in Ukraine, working alongside her colleagues in the Rada to build a better future for her country. We call on Russia to release her at once."   In Ukrainian
