A good read. Quite long!
Last few sentences -

...Nearly 17 Putin years have now passed, and an evening with a can of beer in front of any television set in the Russian Federation makes this clear. In coming to power and holding on to it, Putin claimed not only a personal victory but confirmed the triumph of Gumilev’s reading of Russian history over another, Westernising dream. Patriotic movies succeed one another before giving way to talk shows which are 30 minutes of hate for democrats, Ukrainians, gays, fifth columnists and national traitors. The evening news is a looping résumé of the glorious day of the president, exposés of the underground Nazi Werewolf sleeper cells running the Ukrainian army, specials on the crimes of the Nato junta in Kiev, and expert comment on the imminent implosion of the paedophile-infested European Union. Reading Charles Clover will help you understand Russian TV. This world of lies and delusions — is Eurasia.

Not a bad write up.
Putin's barbaric regime continues its persecution of ethnic minority groups in Crimea.

Луценко став генеральним прокурором України
Parliament has appointed Yuriy Lutsenko to the Prosecutor General of Ukraine.
For a decision voted 264 deputies.
President Petro Poroshenko in parliament signed a decree on appointment.
"Ukraine president signs decree appointing Yuri Lutsenko Vitaliyovych the Prosecutor General of Ukraine", - said Poroshenko.
Lutsenko joined the Supreme Council of Justice and took the oath....

Or Prosecutor General, whatever you want to call him.
Over the past days in the zone of the ATO Ukrainian side did not suffer losses.
This was during the briefing said Speaker of the AP on the ATO Alexander Motuzyanik.
"For the past day by fighting either one Ukrainian soldier was killed and was not injured," - said Motuzyanik.
During the day, recorded three armed incidents during which the positions of APU militants fired more than 20 minutes. At the same time the most difficult thing was Avdeevka, where the evening there was a mortar attack by the enemy.

Slava Ukraini.
Parliament adopted the bill as a whole and "On amendments to some legislative acts of Ukraine regarding the activities of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine" (reyest. №4645), which allows the Prosecutor General to appoint a person without higher legal education.
The law was supported by 258 votes. It proposes to allow the Prosecutor General to appoint a citizen who has higher education experience for at least five years.
It is also proposed to eliminate the conditions for appointment as Prosecutor General provision on the need to have a law degree, which has, for example, Yuri Lutsenko, who is believed to be one of the contenders for the post, writes UNN.
The current [old] legislation required the Prosecutor General of Ukraine to have full legal education and experience in at least ten years...

This got 224 votes a few days' ago ... Where did they get 258 from??!
People's representatives have returned from break, Parliament blocked the tribune (MFN)
Detski Sad. Radical Party - Liashko - who else?
He's seen that Tymoshenko's ratings are up, and he wants some of the same.
Live link to the Rada - working now, at 13.10 hrs here in Ukraine

...Based on an average of the four latest polls asking members of the public who they would support if parliamentary elections were held today, the numbers show that Yulia Tymoshenko’s Fatherland party and Mikheil Saakashvili would be the big winners. But the details paint a more nuanced picture for Ukraine. ...
I met with a Tymoshenko worker earlier this week.
I asked him "kak Yulia? "
He said that she was waiting for the elections. Gearing up for the elections. He thinks later this year. Elections are the big thing now for Batkivshina. She can see herself getting more power, control.
Good article above.
Tymoshenko and the Opposition block (Party of Regions) would have an increased say.
Basically more parties - more trouble. I think an election would simply make things more unstable - if that is possible!

Not too far from the launch site.]
Earlier this week, the Ukrainian activist website Mirotvorets (“Peacemaker”) published a spreadsheet listing what appear to be the names and details of thousands of journalists who have received accreditation to report in the self-proclaimed “Donetsk People’s Republic” (“DNR”). ...
The list should be here
But - nothing will open for me. Material removed?
You can guarantee that "journalists" Graham Phillips and Shaun Walker are on the list approved by the terrorist organization, DNR.
I can find a few bits, but not the full 2600 name list.
If anybody finds an alternative site, please post here. Many journalists of course very angry about this leak.
KIEV, Ukraine — The 17 precious paintings stolen from a museum in Verona, Italy, including works by Tintoretto, Rubens and Mantegna, have been recovered by Ukrainian law enforcement agencies in what the nation’s president hailed Wednesday as a “brilliant operation.”
President Petro Poroshenko said the recovery of the stolen art estimated to be worth more than 16 million euros ($18.3 million) had demonstrated Ukraine’s efficient fight against art smuggling.
Ukrainian border guards found the stolen paintings hidden in plastic bags in a cache on a small island on the Dniester River between Ukraine and Moldova...

Looks like Italy-Moldova connection.
Arrested - in Italy - guard on duty, his twin brother, and Moldovan wife...
....In turn, German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier, who hosted the talks, said the atmosphere was better than at their last meeting in Paris but acknowledged there had been no breakthrough, according to the Daily Mail.....
Talks about talks about talks. Nothing is going to happen. Putin wants a frozen conflict with regular deaths.
Bizarre. Russia running short of salt?!
