Putin: Russia does not recognize the jurisdiction of The Hague Court

Russia does not recognize the jurisdiction of the Hague Court, because it is not a party to the European Energy Charter, said Russian President Vladimir Putin. It is reported by "Interfax" .
"With regard to these proceedings, our position is well known: it consists in the fact that on the issues and for this kind of Hague Arbitration Court has jurisdiction only with respect to those countries that have signed and ratified the European Energy Charter," - Putin said.
"Russia has not ratified the charter, so we do not recognize the jurisdiction of this court", - said Russian President.
According to Putin, "that Yukos shareholders are trying to get additional funds from Russia, there is no novelty, no, we have faced with similar symptoms before, and by the company and by other partners, including from the European partners, international companies. "
When asked how Russia will act to defend their interests in relation to the arrest of property, Putin said: "What exactly will do our lawyers, it is necessary to ask them. There will be no secrets."
Earlier, Putin said that Russia will be in court to prove the illegality of the seizure of assets in Belgium and France.
