UK faces pressure to commit to Nato target

The Nato figures are expected to show that Poland has joined four other of the alliance’s 28 member states — Estonia, Greece, UK and US — that hit its target of spending 2 per cent of gross domestic product.

However, the UK government, until now the only large European power to meet the target, has refused to commit to doing so beyond the current year, despite growing domestic and international criticism.

The US sees the target as symbolically critical and is pressing Britain not to cut spending.....................

How much clearer can it get. You don't have to have a BA to see what kind of scenario this would create. It happened in WWII and it can now happen again. "No worries!, we have the US to protect us. Why should we spend money to protect our country?"

Now you see why I bash European leaders! The US didn't put these degenerates in office, Europeans do. And nothing's said by them, because they know the US will take care of them. Then at the same time, I hear many Europeans asking, "why isn't the US doing more to protect Ukraine?" The most asinine comment ANYONE can make.

Canada and the US have done much more for Ukraine, since this started than Europe has done to protect one of their own countries. When will Europeans elect leaders that have balls? Don't blame Americans, as Europeans love to bash the US and Americans, blame yourselves.
