Lavrov said a possible "Norman summit" at the summit "Group of 20"

Lavrov added that holding such a summit should also accept and German and French partners, and China
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that Moscow is ready to participate in the summit "Norman Quartet" on the margins of the summit "Group of Twenty" to be held in early September.

He said such a summit recently offered to hold "Ukrainian partners."

Lavrov added that holding such a summit should also accept and German and French partners, and China, which will host the summit of "Group of Twenty" in the city of Hangzhou.

In Ukraine, as well as other participating countries "Norman format" talks on the settlement of the occupied part of Donbass these statements has not yet commented.

"Norman Quartet" are Ukraine, Germany, France and Russia.

Summit "Group of Twenty" is scheduled for 4-5 September. In Ukrainian/український

Now he wants China to be included, but won't ask the US to take part. We all know what side China will take, especially after recent talks they've been having together. Seems they're itching to end this, due to how much they're hurting financially and need a quick resolution. The longer this conflict drags out the worse it gets for them. And this request from them is mainly for Ukraine and doesn't include Syria, which they're deeply involved and it's also costing them big. A lot of overall pressure piling up on Putin and company.

IMO, Ukraine won't bow to their demands to make peace, as we all know what their request from Ukraine will be. As far as I've seen, Ukraine hasn't budged to their demands. Still adhering to the Minsk agreement. No foreign troops or military equipment, including putting down their arms BEFORE an election takes place, for starters. And Ukraine have stood stern on that.

Russia's deficit is in the tank, GDP is at its historical worse at over $1 trillion. Putin's losing his support which is the BIGGEST threat for him to keep his thrown. His economy's losing badly, day-by-day. He needs to make a move very soon to stop the bleeding as more and more Russians suffering from his making. Some have brought up a possible end a-la Khadafy. If things get worse, it might just end-up like that, but as we see lately, he's past a law that law enforcement can shoot to kill with protesters. Does he smell it coming to where he's made some really outrageous changes to Russia's laws. That what it seems like. Now the increasing of his positions in the Crimean and Russian western borders seems he's preparing for something big. And believe me, the west does know what's going on. Are they waiting to see how much he's bluffing, OR is it his plans to make a big move as he's run out of resources and patients with nobody he wants to not bowing to him? Seems the time for his decision is too uncomfortably near. In Ukrainian/український

Journalist Bochkala leaves Inter TV channel following scandal over published e-mails between “DPR” terrorists

Roman Bochkala resigned from his job as journalist for Inter TV channel after the scandal that sparked over recently published correspondence between the TV channel employees and terrorists.

He wrote on Facebook, Censor.NET reports.

"That's it. The badge has been handed over; the exit check list has been completed. I'm leaving Inter TV channel. These were the most interesting eight years of my life. But the new challenges and projects are ahead," he wrote.

Earlier, the correspondence between employee of "DPR Ministry of Public Security" Tatiana Yegorova and representatives of Ukraine's Inter and Donbass TV channels leaked online. In one of the e-mails, a certain Masha, the alleged employee of Inter TV channel (most probably, ex-Creative Producer of Inter's "Podrobytsi Tyznhia" news show Maria Stolyarova is meant), offered apology for the fact that the "DPR" militants were called terrorists on air of the news show. She noted that journalist Bochkala was punished for using such a definition.

In turn, Roman Bochkala gave comment on the correspondence to Glavred: "I cannot take these e-mails for granted. However, judging by the names and e-mail addresses, I assume that the correspondence actually took place. But if it comes to the fact that I was allegedly punished for the word "terrorist" that, as far as I understood, I had used in my story, that's not the case. However, I guess that my leadership got bawled out for my high-quality story. They were outraged by it, and apparently covered themselves in front of their supervisors saying that I was punished. Again, they didn't do it," he commented. In Ukrainian/український

Russian tanks and a new crack-down on independent media in occupied Crimea
08.08.16 | Halya Coynash
The latest escalation in Russia’s information blockade of occupied Crimea last week may, as suggested, be due to zeal by de facto prosecutor Natalya Poklonskaya and her team of zealous ‘extremism’-hunters. The move does, however, seem potentially more sinister following Russia’s closure on Sunday morning of all crossing points between mainland Ukraine and occupied Crimea and unsubstantiated reports of a ‘battle’ or attack by Ukrainians on Russian soldiers. Apparent attempts to blame the physical blockade on Ukraine seemed especially implausible given the huge amount of military technology which Russia had transported into Crimea the day before. ....
93d Brigade told about Yevhen Sadivnychyi, Dmytro Demurenko, and Taras Kyrychenko killed in combat on August 6.
...All the fallen soldiers were serving under contract and had considerable combat experience. They enjoyed respect and authority among colleagues," the report reads. ...
