Erdogan: Restoration of dialogue with Russia will not affect the position of Turkey to recognize the annexation of Crimea
In the framework of the 71st session of the UN General Assembly President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko met with President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
The two Presidents discussed the implementation of agreements reached during the fifth meeting of the Strategic
High Level Council between Ukraine and Turkey, particularly in the area of trade liberalization. The parties noted the intensity of the bilateral agenda and reaffirmed commitment to further deepen the strategic partnership.
The President of Ukraine also invited Turkish companies to take part in the privatization of Ukrainian enterprises.
The two sides agreed to hold soon Ukrainian-Turkish working group on energy.
Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that Turkey will continue to provide support to Ukraine on the issue of restoring sovereignty and territorial integrity of our country both in bilateral and multilateral dimensions.
He also stressed that the resumption of dialogue with Russia will not affect the position of Turkey to recognize the annexation of Crimea and condemnation of violations of the rights of Crimean Tatars.

The European Union has applied Bosnia and Herzegovina for membership. Reported DW.
Council of the European Union Tuesday, 20 September, in its opinion on the application of Bosnia and Herzegovina for EU membership reaffirmed that "the future of the Western Balkans in the European Union."
In the document, the Council underlines that progress each country towards the EU depends on its individual efforts to ensure that meet the criteria for entry and observe the process of stabilization and association, which are the country wishing to join the EU.
The Commission now will determine whether Bosnia and Herzegovina criteria to obtain the status of candidate country for membership, the process will take about a year.
EC also determine what criteria should the country will meet to gain full membership, which is expected to be a difficult process to Sarajevo. EC, in particular, assess the economy, compliance with it human rights and the rule of law, as well as other obligations assumed by the member states.
The Prime Minister of Bosnia and Herzegovina Denis Zvizdich Tuesday, September 20, said that the adoption of the EU requests his country was "historic moment for the European path and European future" of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
"This is truly one of the best news for Bosnia and Herzegovina, especially for young people," - he said.
