Women chanted slogans critical of Trump

In the US, two half-naked women staged a protest at a polling station in New York, where voting Republican candidate Donald Trump. The protest took place a few hours before Trump came to vote.

Saakashvili promises to sweep clean parliament, administration, and Cabinet, says he heads to Kyiv

Chairman of the Odesa Regional State Administration Mikheil Saakashvili, who has recently tendered his resignation, announces his intention to pay a visit to Kyiv.

As reported by Censor.NET citing 112 Ukraine, he said as he was delivering a speech in Odesa.

"I'm leaving for Kyiv, I know that Trukhanov (Mayor of Odesa - Ed.) arranged celebrations. I see his henchman Holubiev spending his money to give away kebabs on the streets. EU sanctions to cover all State Duma Members elected in occupied Crimea, spokesperson for Lithuanian Foreign Ministry

European Union finance ministers included Members of the State Duma of the Russian Federation from Crimea and Sevastopol to the EU sanctions list.

As reported by Censor.NET, spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Kestutis Vashkelyavichyus told Kommersant newspaper.

The diplomat confirmed that Lithuania was among the countries that initiated expansion of sanctions adopted today, Nov. 8. Kestutis Vashkelyavichyus reiterated that maintaining the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine was not only Lithuanian government's but all the EU countries' firm stance.

A total of seven Members of the State Duma of the Russian Federation from Crimea including Konstantin Baharev, Andrey Kozenko, Svetlana Savchenko, Ruslan Balbek, Pavel Shperov, Mikhail Sheremet, and Natalia Poklonskaya as well as Dmitry Belik representing Sevastopol in the State Duma were included in the list of sanctions. Sheremet and Poklonskaya have already been subjects to the EU sanctions.

Earlier, European Union finance ministers agreed new targeted sanctions against Crimean officials Nov. 8. They were added to restrictive measures adopted after Russia's annexation of Crimea in 2014.

As previously reported, in 2014, the European Union, the United States and several other countries imposed sanctions against Russia in connection with the occupation of Crimea and aggression in eastern Ukraine. These restrictive measures were repeatedly extended and expanded. In particular, the talks on visa waiver and a new basic agreement on cooperation were suspended; several Russia's officials were banned to travel to the EU while their assets were attached. Trade, financial, and military restrictions were introduced.

The sanctions list included a total of 151 individuals and 37 entities. The sectoral sanctions were imposed against 20 Russian financial, oil-producing and defense companies.

The Russian Federation introduced a package of retaliation restrictions against the EU, the U.S., Australia, Canada, and Norway in August 2014. Russia wants to ban money transfers to Ukraine

This step is aimed at eliminating the consequences of the ban on the activities of Russian payment systems in Ukraine

Russia intends to ban the transfer of funds from the Russian Federation to Ukraine. It is reported by "RBK-Ukraine" referring to Russian media.

1,000 Jews Gather in Lviv - Ukraine City Honors Far Right Wing Nationalists

Nearly 1,000 people attended the largest Jewish gathering held in decades in the western Ukrainian city of Lviv, which has numerous monuments honoring Holocaust-era alleged war criminals.

The mostly Jewish crowd of 900 people on Saturday night filled the Lviv Theater of Opera and Ballet for a concert and ceremony celebrating a decade of activity by the Ukraine branch of Limmud FSU – a network of organizations responsible for holding Jewish learning conferences across the former Soviet Union and other countries with Jewish Russian speakers.

Many of the participants of the four-day event in Lviv belonged to the city’s Jewish population of 1,200 but most came here from across Ukraine for the 10th anniversary event, which also was attended by Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi.

Lviv, whose pre-Holocaust Jewish population of 150,000 was virtually wiped out by the Nazis and their local collaborators, is widely seen as the cradle of the country’s nationalist revival................

Americans in Ukraine already voted for new U.S. president

Americans living or residing in Ukraine temporarily have already exercised their right to vote in the U.S. presidential election.

According to the U.S. Embassy's Consular Service, there are approximately 8,000 Americans residing permanently in Ukraine. In addition, there are American citizens in Ukraine on a temporary basis or travelling in Ukraine, bringing the number to 16,000. Those Americans, who decided to vote in Ukraine, have already voted by mail, as is usually done during American elections, the press service U.S. embassy told Interfax-Ukraine on Tuesday.

The U.S. diplomatic mission said voting booths are not opened at the embassy, but ballots are cast according to the procedure proscribed the voter's home state........

Russia imposes sanctions on Ukraine

Russia has banned shipments of cargo via Russia in rail cars owned by ten Ukraine shipment companies, podrobnosti reports Nov. 8.

U.S., Russia object altering UN Security Council veto right

The two nations possess the veto right as the UN Security Council permanent members, along with China, the United Kingdom and France. Washington would support substantiated propositions on the marginal inclusion of new permanent or non-permanent members to the Council, the US representative Michelle Sison noted in her letter.
