The decision by US President Donald Trump get out of the Paris climate agreement is not due to indifference to the problems of climate on the planet, and that this agreement, in his opinion, not the interests of the American people and the economic interests of the country.
It informs Tsenzor.NET referring to Ukrinform , told US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson on the basis of annual consultations of Foreign and Defense Ministries USA and Australia in Sydney, says news.com .
"I think the president made clear his desire to re-examine the matter and may hold discussions with other countries on the preparation of new, constructive agreement. The President does not avoid these problems, he wants to be involved in the processes for their decision," - said Tillerson.
As reported earlier, on June 2, US President Donald Trump announced that the United States out of the Paris climate agreement concluded in 2015.
Critics of the decision argue that it means rejection of US global leadership in solving the biggest problem, which is the international community.
Donald Trump has repeatedly stated that he does not believe in global warming, and promised not to participate in the Paris agreement during the presidential campaign of 2016.
Paris agreement includes commitments to reduce emissions of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. The document also provides for the allocation of 2020 developing countries 100 billion dollars to address environmental problems.
