In a statement, G20 leaders inconsistent climate change because of the US position

The leaders of the "Big Twenty" at the summit, which takes place in Hamburg, Germany, agreed on every aspect of the final joint statement with the exception of the section relating to climate change, because of the position of the United States.

He said G20 leaders aides worked into the night to complete the joint statement, overcoming differences over trade issues after officials from the United States agreed with the wording to combat protectionism.

"The result is good. We have communiqué. One question remains, it relates to climate change, but I'm hopeful that we can find a compromise ", - said the EU official on condition of anonymity.

According to him, the issue of climate change has yet to settle, because the United States insisted that the text was a reference to fossil fuels.
