Elections in Germany: the turnout in a number of cities is 12 hours higher than in 2013
German voters in a number of cities in the Federal Republic of Germany show a higher turnout in the Bundestag elections, which continue on Sunday, September 24th, than during the 2013 poll. This is reported by the dpa news agency.
In Hamburg, more than 37 percent of voters voted in local time until 11:00 am (in 2013, the turnout was more than 35 percent at that time). In Bremen, before the 12th of the day, more than 27 percent of voters voted their votes (in 2013, about 25 percent).
In Munich, the turnout for 12 hours amounted to more than 57 percent, including voters who voted by mail (in the previous elections - more than 44 percent). More than 29 percent of voters voted in Nuremberg (including the previous vote).
At the same time, the state of Saxony in the federal state at 12 o'clock remained at the level of 2013. In Thuringia, it dropped from its previous election from 31 percent to 24.5 percent. It is expected that the head of the federal election commission will publish the first figures regarding the general voter turnout at around 15:30 local time.
Recall that today in Germany the parliamentary elections started - the Bundestag . About 60 million Germans have the right to vote in these elections.
Preliminary results are expected on Sunday evening.
According to the latest polls conducted by public service broadcasters ARD and ZDF, CDU / CSU with a support level of 36-37 percent is comfortable in the first place. For the second big party - SPDN - are ready to vote 20-21.5 percent. The third place will be Ad Hoc (Alternate for Germany): 11-12 percent, Free Democratic Party with 9.5-10 percent, Left party with 8.5-9 percent, and Greens with 7.5-8 percent support.
