Trump is ‘prepping his base’ for a constitutional crisis to stop the Russia probe

President Donald Trump is preparing his base for the constitutional crisis he’ll trigger by firing special counsel Robert Mueller, according to a congressional investigator.

Rep. Mike Quigley (D-IL), a member of the House Intelligence Committee, said the probe has gotten deep into sensitive financial areas involving Trump and his family, and he “impulsive” president was almost certain to fire the special counsel.

“The Mueller investigation could take at least another year, maybe two, but (the House) investigation is closer to its infancy than conclusion,” Quigley said Thursday, during a discussion at DePaul University College of Law. “In the meantime, we live with the very real threat that the Mueller investigation gets shut down.”

Quigley said the investigation, despite its complexity, had already revealed evidence of wrongdoing.

“If you had seen what I had seen you’d want me to go full throttle,” he said...................

Peacekeepers in the Donbas US Private Intelligence has announced a forecast for terms

on Mon Sep 25, 2017 9:45 am
Peacekeepers in the Donbas US Private Intelligence has announced a forecast for terms

It is unlikely that the deployment of UN peacekeepers in the Donbas will take place by March 2018.

This was reported by experts of the American intelligence and analytical company "Stratfor", their report is at the disposal of "Apostrophe".

Ukraine demands that peacekeepers be deployed throughout the territory of the terrorist "DPR-LNR", including the Russian border on its entire length. At the same time, Russia believes that peacekeepers are only on the line of collision between Ukrainian forces and militants.

So far, the US position is unknown. After meeting with Trump Poroshenko assured that the US president supported the proposal of Ukraine. However, Trump himself did not make a formal statement on this subject.

Russia and Ukraine can not agree with each other on the key issue of the parameters of the UN mission, and Moscow is unlikely to take any serious action on the eve of the upcoming presidential elections in March 2018.

UN reports on arrests, torture and the imposition of Russian citizenship in the Crimea

on Mon Sep 25, 2017 9:48 am
UN reports on arrests, torture and the imposition of Russian citizenship in the Crimea

The situation with the observance of human rights in Crimea after its annexation by Russia in 2014 has deteriorated significantly.

This is stated in the released September 25 thematic report of the High Commissioner for Human Rights.

The document covers the period from February 2014 to September 2017. The Russian authorities since the end of March 2014 did not provide access to the Crimea to the UN Human Rights Monitoring Mission in Ukraine, therefore, the mission members monitored from the mainland of Ukraine.

According to the UN, in the Crimea "serious violations of human rights are recorded, such as arbitrary arrests and detentions, enforced disappearances, ill-treatment, torture and at least one extrajudicial execution."

It is indicated that Crimeans of different ethnic origin became the victims, but Crimean Tatars experienced special harassment. It is also noted that on the peninsula "the possibilities of public display of Ukrainian culture and identity" were significantly narrowed.

Particular attention in the United Nations was paid to the automatic granting of Russian citizenship to the inhabitants of Crimea. "The imposition of citizenship on the inhabitants of the occupied territory can be equated to coercing them to swear allegiance to the enemy state, which is prohibited by the Fourth Geneva Convention," the report said.

In order to improve the situation in the field of human rights in Crimea, the authors of the report presented 20 recommendations to the Russian government. Among them: it is recommended to respect the human rights of all inhabitants of the peninsula, to fulfill the "obligations imposed on the occupying Power in accordance with international humanitarian law", to ensure proper and unhindered access of international human rights monitoring and human rights NGOs to the Crimea.

The experts also advised the Ukrainian government: to remove all restrictions on freedom of movement to Crimea and the Crimea that are not necessary and to simplify the receipt of documents on the civil status, education and other public services by the Crimean residents.

Russia wanted to create another Abkhazia in Donbas but failed, - Volker

Russia wanted to create another Abkhazia in Donbas but failed - Volker

The Kremlin failed to achieve the goals it set for itself in the Donbas.

This was announced by U.S. Special Envoy on Ukraine Kurt Volker in an interview to ZN.UA, Censor.NET reports.

Russia tried to keep Ukraine within its sphere of interests with force. But the invasion and the occupation led to an opposite result. Russians did not get what they wanted, Volker said.

Russia wanted to create another Abkhazia. They thought they would be able to do that quite easily, Volker said. He believes the Russians are starting to understand that this scenario is not working, Volker said. He said they are being demonstrated that it will fail, both now and in the future.

Things will get worse for Russia in the future from political, economic, information, and security points of view, Volker said.

However, the special envoy added, Russia can avoid further implications if it starts acting in accordance with its own statements. Russia claimed it supports territorial integrity of Ukraine and cares for Russian-speaking population, Volker reminded.

Putin is not worried about Merkel's election victory

on Mon Sep 25, 2017 10:05 am
Putin is not worried about Merkel's election victory

Heads of German intelligence agencies complain that Germany has become a sandbox for Russian fraud

Considering how Russia tried to influence the elections in Europe and the United States, many observers were waiting for similar behavior before the parliamentary elections in Germany. Actually, cyberattacks on computer systems of the Bundestag two years ago have led many to wait for new harmful information leaks that could be used to "crush water" during Camapnia. In fact, Putin probably does not feel the need to apply his entire propaganda arsenal in Germany.

"Why? Just because, unlike Washington or Paris, Putin has already achieved his political goals in Berlin. Russian bribery of the German elites has achieved significant success ", - reads the article in the Washington Post .

As recent studies have shown, three German parties: the Social Democrats, the Left, and the populist "Alternative to Germany" - have close ties with Moscow. The author reminds that the leader and contender for the post of Chancellor of the Social Democrats, Martin Schultz, called for the withdrawal of US nuclear weapons from Germany. And his calls were made even though Russia has marketed the Iskander complexes in Kaliningrad, from where the missiles can easily flock to the German territory.

And he is not only one in his party, which is still filled with the protege of former Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder, known for his close ties with Moscow and Gazprom. The author reminds that in 2002, as a leader of the German government, Schröder forgave Russia for 7.1 million euros of debt. And in recent weeks of his work, he had time to give Gazprom debt guarantees for another billion euros. Recently, Schroeder has agreed to become an independent director of the Russian company Rosneft, which is included in the "black list" of EU sanctions imposed after Russia's annexation of the Crimea.

Heads of German intelligence agencies complain that Germany has become a sandbox for Russian fraud. The government has recently classified the intelligence report on the impact of Russian misinformation, because "the findings were too disturbing."

The key to Putin's political influence is energy. Germany's powerful economy requires a lot of energy, which makes Berlin very dependent on Russian oil and natural gas. The author reminds that the North Stream and North Stream gas transmission systems make Germany even more dependent on Russian energy sources. Schröder leads the board of the North Stream-2. And Chancellor Angela Merkel recently defended the Russian "trumpet" against US criticism.

The observer notices that Merkel was one of Putin's most prominent critics. But now she reduced her pressure to him. Her political positions are very strong, and the Russian president could hardly shake them. But on the other hand, the party of the German chancellor will have to make a coalition partner one of the political forces loyal to Putin. The author also reminds that when it became known about the supply of Siemens turbines to the annexed Crimea in contravention of sanctions, the German media almost did not react to this. The same was true when it turned out that Deutsche Bank was laundering dirty money from Russia.

"Both cases became known due to the pressure of the United States, not the Germans. Behind the scenes, Berlin and Brussels take a tough stance against the strengthening of the EU's struggle against Russia's propaganda, "the author observes.

In his opinion, Putin successfully won in the struggle for influence on Germany. He has also succeeded in killing a Berlin between Washington and a bridge between the EU member states. So, the Kremlin has no reason to expose itself and to intervene in the German elections. After the election, Putin will continue to use his networks to expand influence, to destabilize democracy and to withdraw Germany from the United States. That is why Washington has time to wake up. After all, the transatlantic partnership, which has been a guarantee of peace, democracy and prosperity for decades, is now in jeopardy.

Recall the block of parties, the Christian Democratic Union and the Christian-Social Union (CDU / CSU) led by Angela Merkel have traditionally won the German elections, which took place on September 24, although they showed significantly worse results than four years ago. The second place was the Social Democratic Party with 20.5% of the votes, while the rights "Alternative for Germany" first went to the Bundestag, gaining 12.6% of the vote.

Lavrov: "Americans will not attack North Korea because they know that the DPRK has nuclear bombs"

on Mon Sep 25, 2017 10:08 am
Lavrov: "Americans will not attack North Korea because they know that the DPRK has nuclear bombs"

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov believes that the United States will not attack North Korea, knowing that Pyongyang has nuclear weapons.

It is reported by Tsensor.NET with reference to Crimea. Realia.

"Americans will not attack North Korea because they are unaware, they know for sure that DPRK has nuclear bombs. I do not defend North Korea, I just say that almost everyone agrees with such an analysis," Lavrov said to the Russian television channel "NTV" .

Recently, tensions have increased due to the nuclear tests of North Korea. Earlier in September, the DPRK conducted an underground test of a hydrogen bomb, whose power, according to experts, was 16 times higher than the bomber power that the US dropped to the Japanese city of Hiroshima in 1945. In response, US bombers of the B-1B Lancer, accompanied by fighter jets, flew on September 23 in an international airspace near North Korea.
