Facebook will convey to the US Congress information on the purchase of Russian ads during the 2016 presidential campaign

Facebook reported Sunday that on October 2, it is going to convey to the US Congress information contained in three thousand advertisements for political content.

According to Tsensor.NET with reference to Radio Liberty , this political advertisement a month before and after the presidential elections in 2016 placed in the social network, probably people from Russia.

Head of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg, on September 21, on Facebook, said he had backed an investigation into the US Congress. Zuckerberg spoke of the nine steps that his company is taking to prevent governments from using Facebook to interfere in the election.

In particular, Facebook will make political ads in the social network more transparent so that people can see which of them are placed in connection with the elections.

Colin Stretch, chief attorney at Facebook, said in a separate blog that Facebook did not disclose content under any circumstances, but the social network wants to help protect the integrity of the US election.

The disclosure by the Facebook website of the fact that Russians bought advertising in this social network during the 2016 presidential campaign prompted the Federal Election Commission of the United States to declare on September 14 the need to "revise and modernize" electoral law.

The Kremlin denies suspicions about Moscow's involvement in Facebook's announcements during the US presidential campaign.

Russian police have been sentenced because of service in the US Army

In St. Petersburg, up to 2 years old, the colony was sentenced by a police officer Sergei Kulakov, who, when arranged in the internal affairs authorities, concealed several years of service in the US Army and participation in hostilities.

It is reported by Interfax-Russia with reference to the court.

Kulakov was found guilty of "exceeding official authority" and sentenced to 2 years of prison general regime.

He is also deprived of the right to hold public office for 2 years and fined 10 thousand rubles.

He was accused of hiding data that "he received American citizenship, served in the US Army, participated in hostilities on the side of that country."

Subsequently, Kulakov returned to Russia and resigned to work in the police again.

Law enforcement agencies of the RF at the same time do not believe that the man "again settled in the Russian police to harm the security of the Russian Federation."

Ukraine - Ukraine News in brief. Monday 2 October. [Ukrainian sources] Empty In the courts there are 4200 cases of corruptionists, - Lutsenko

Mon Oct 02, 2017 12:41 pm
In the courts there are 4200 cases of corruptionists, - Lutsenko

Attorney General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko supports the idea of creating an Anticorruption court, which should deal with court proceedings against VIP-corrupt officials.

As Tsensor.NET reports , Lutsenko said about this on the TSN . Week .

"I was still in prison, saying that I would be the country's greatest optimiser, and I remain with him." So, it's not very easy, but it's not what we wanted in our dreams on the Maidan, and yet, in a year and a half in this position, we were able to to reveal more than 7 thousand acts of corruption and 4 thousand bribe-takers and robbers are in court. "I emphasize that 4,2 thousand bribe-takers are in courts." Therefore, my greatest dream is that we have courts, "he said.

Lutsenko noted that the problem is not only in quality but also in the number of judges.

"The problem is not only in what judges, but how many of them.In the Pechersk court of Kiev - only a total of five judges are considering hundreds of the most resonant cases. Therefore, in addition to the integrity of judges, which, of course, is the number one issue, there is a question and the number of judges, I support the idea of creating an Anti-corruption court that should deal with VIP corruption cases, but in parallel, as long as this is all set up (at least a year, perhaps, and more), we must immediately fill the courts with new judges who are selected on a competitive basis basis like and will be able to play the role of anti-corruption judges on the cases already existing, recorded, transferred to the court cases ", - said the Attorney General.

Prosecutors in the case of suspects in crimes at the Maidan police said the judge turned it down

The prosecutors announced the appeal to the judge Vitaliy Pysantsy, who was supposed to consider the measure of restraint by Anatoly Seredinsky, deputy head of the Preventive Activities Department of the National Police, and Igor Babych, Head of the Prevention Department of the National Police, who are suspected of coordinating and promoting the activities of special forces during EuroMaydan.

This is reported by the Gromadsky correspondent.

"The petition was filed on September 29. According to the CPC, adherence to reasonable timeframes for consideration of this petition falls within the competence of the investigating judge. This request should not be considered urgently, not later than 72 hours from the moment of filing. But on Friday for unknown reasons, it was not considered , and today is scheduled beyond the time limits. We believe that such actions raise doubts about the impartiality of the judge in this case ", - said the prosecutor Denis Ivanov.

Now, the petition for removal must fall on the auto-distribution and then a new judge will be determined. It is not known at this time whether it will happen today.

Sergei Pogotov, a third suspect in the police, was put under house arrest at night .

Avakov on suspected policemen in the Maidan case said that the charges will be scattered in court.

Deputy Head of the National Police Oleksandr Fatsevych, who was on trial on September 29, protected the suspects in coordinating and encouraging special forces during the dispersal of the Maidan.
