US State Department has accused Russia of not fulfilling its obligations to prevent the use of Syrian President Bashar Assad's chemical weapons regime.

As informs Tsensor.NET with reference to UNIAN , this is stated in a statement published on the website of the US State Department.

"Secretary of State last month in Paris said that Russia has since been involved in the situation in Syria, is responsible for the casualties in Eastern Guy and countless Syrians who have been hit by chemical weapons," the statement said.

The official representative of the State Department, Heather Noether on the Twitter page, noted that Russia had not fulfilled its obligations to the Syrian people.

According to the US State Department's statement, it is about the use of chlorine by the Syrian authorities against civilians in the Sarabag area of the province of Idlib. The State Department added that this is the sixth similar attack in the last month.

"We call on the world community to come together and use every opportunity to put pressure on the regime (Syrian President Bashar al-Assad) and his supporters to stop the use of chemical weapons and bring the perpetrators to justice," the ministry said.

It was reported that combatant poisonous substances could be used in the Syrian opposition controlled by the north-western Syria. On the symptoms of chlorine poisoning in the province of Idlib, on Monday, February 5, the charity organization Syrian-American Medical Society reported. As a result of the influence of poisonous substances, at least 11 people who had serious respiratory problems were injured.
