on Fri Apr 20, 2018 1:03 pm
The final amount of payments the British government will pay to the European Union through Brexit will reach 39 billion pounds or 55 billion euros.

This was reported by Bloomberg, citing British auditors concluded.

According to the report, at the end of last year, Prime Minister of Britain Teresa May has agreed with the governments of the 27 EU countries. The agreement noted that after the exit from the EU, the United Kingdom will have to pay losses at the level of 35 to 39 billion pounds sterling.

"This" account for Brexit "is still rather optimistic, because at the beginning of the negotiations on the withdrawal of Britain from the EU was called the sum of 100 billion euros", - reports Bloomberg.

They also note that the final amount can still grow, because it depends on the Treasury estimate.

The "Brexit Account" is intended to compensate for the economic losses of the EU and will be fully paid by around 2064.

Earlier, the head of the European Council, Donald Tusk, sent the leaders of the EU member states a strategy of relations with Britain, which was planned to be approved in March.

In late February, the European Commission issued a draft agreement on Brexit . According to him, Britain must finally leave the EU on March 30, 2019.

In Britain, proposed to postpone the final exit from the EU due to delaying the negotiation process.

In addition, in the negotiations, Britain and the EU decided to extend the transitional period until 2020.

Earlier it was reported that after the departure of Britain from the EU, citizens of the country will print the Dutch company Gemalto NV.
