The CIA accused China of a "cold war" against the United States Empty The CIA accused China of a "cold war" against the United States

on Sun Jul 22, 2018 3:21 pm
Deputy Director of the CIA Center for East Asia, Michael Collins, said that China is "quiet Cold War" against the US, using all its resources to replace the United States as a leading country on the world stage.

This is reported by AP.

"They are actually cold war against us - not a cold war we saw with the USSR, and a cold war by definition," Collins said.

He believes that Beijing does not want a war, but the current Chinese government to undermine the US is working on several fronts.

According to the publication, former director of the CIA, Christopher Rey, also said that China was the greatest threat to the United States. He said that an investigation into FBI's economic espionage in all 50 US states leads to China.

On July 6, the Chinese authorities put in place a decision to impose customs duties on US $ 34 billion in US imports a few hours after the United States imposed a duty of $34 billion in Chinese goods.

On July 11, it became known that Trump is preparing to introduce another portion of customs duties on imports of Chinese goods at a rate of 10%. The customs duties will apply to goods, the total cost of which is $200 billion dollars.

June 22, Donald Trump wrote on Twitter , considering the possibility of imposing duties on European cars in the amount of 20%. The EU has been informed that they are prepared to take a similar step in response.

On June 15, Trump entered into force a decision on the shipment of the next portion of Chinese goods. In addition, it was reported that Trump did not plan to dwell on the trade restrictions he had imposed and is preparing a new portion of duties, which will affect already $100 billion of Chinese imports.

Earlier, it was reported that due to the introduction by the US administration of Donald Trump of import tariffs from China, about $2.5 billion of investment in the construction of solar power stations was frozen or rejected.

Recall that on May 29th, it was also learned about Tramp's plans to introduce regular tariff restrictions on additional $50 billion in Chinese goods in mid-June 2018. This decision contradicts the message of the US Ministry of Finance that, at the time of trade negotiations, no new customs duties on Chinese goods will be introduced.

Trade relations between the United States and China were one of Donald Trump's pre-election campaign priorities. Each year, China sells goods to the United States more than $300 billion more than American products.

The United States also imposed duties on steel and aluminum. The EU and Canada reported being complaints to the World Trade Organization.

Recall that in March 2018 Donald Trump announced the introduction of tariff restrictions on $50 billion in Chinese imports. China has introduced similar customs restrictions on US goods.

In order to resolve the trade disputes between countries, non-public talks began. Subsequently, there were known US demands for China to stop the "trade war" between the countries.

China and the United States have agreed to increase $60-90 billion in imports to deal with trade disputes.

In the United States, they were told that they would insist on signing long-term contracts for the supply of American goods to the Chinese market.  In Ukrainian/український
