Putin invited Trump to meet in Moscow

on Fri Jul 27, 2018 9:32 am
Russian President Vladimir Putin said he was ready to meet with US President Donald Trump not only in Washington, but also in Moscow.

It is reported by the Russian federal news agency TASS.

Putin said that he had already invited Trump to the capital of Russia.

"We are ready to invite President Trump to Moscow, he has, incidentally, such an invitation, I told him about it. I am ready to come to Washington, if there are created appropriate conditions for work, "Putin said.

According to the president of the Russian Federation, at meetings with Trump, they will discuss a number of issues that concern "many states of the world and throughout Europe, including."

Earlier, Trump invited Putin to visit Washington in the autumn. However, Trump postponed a meeting previously proposed to Putin.

July 16, presidents of the United States and Russia met in Helsinki . This was their third meeting.

Later Trump said he was expecting the next meeting with Putin. At a press conference, Putin said that the issue of annexation of the Crimean peninsula for Russia is closed, despite the fact that the US does not agree with the Russian position.

In addition, Putin said that the US authorities could more resolutely adjust the Ukrainian authorities to implement the Minsk accords.

For his part, Trump said that the North Stream 2 gas pipeline project makes Russia a rival to the United States.

Putin said Russia did not interfere in the US presidential election in 2016. President Trump supported the colleague's statement, calling the US "witch hunt" investigation.

The day after the meeting, Trump said that he "quitted" at a meeting with Putin and actually agrees with the findings of the US intelligence that Russia intervened in the American elections.
