A resident of St. Petersburg tried to take the wheel prohibited Finnish sausage (PHOTOS)

Russians from St. Petersburg was detained on the Russian-Finnish border for trying to smuggle in his car products from the sanctions list.  It is reported by the press service of the Vyborg customs.

During the search of the car customs officers found packages of finished meat, fish and dairy products, hidden in the trunk, hood and a spare wheel.  In total, the vehicle travels 33 packaging of meat products gross total weight 21.46 kg, 13 packages of finished fish products with a total weight of 7.92 kg Gross and 11 packages of finished dairy products a total gross weight of 33.44 kg.  Total - 57 packages with a total weight 62.82 kg gross.

Trying to translate across the border this product, from St. Petersburg had violated prohibitions and restrictions on sensitive goods prohibited for import to the Russian Federation in 2014 s.  With respect to the men brought administrative proceedings, but the "sanctions" product will be returned to the territory of a neighboring state.

The ban on the import of goods from EU countries, the USA, Australia, Canada and Norway, was introduced in August 2014.  This measure was a response to anti-Russian sanctions, which came into force in March of the same year against the backdrop of the conflict in the east of Ukraine and the Crimea to Russia.  Grocery embargo applies to meat, fish, vegetables, fruit and dairy products.
