Post by Admin on Fri Jul 10, 2015 3:03 am

FIFA President Sepp Blatter tied tough criticism from British journalists and football authorities to insult England because of the defeat of its candidate for the presidential election organization 40 years ago.

FIFA President said that envy of management personnel in the English FIFA mature for decades. According to Blatter, the process began after the victory of the Brazilian Joao Havelange over Englishman Stanley Rose in the presidential elections of FIFA in 1974, said , "Air Force" .

"From this moment on the superiority of England lost in his favorite sport. The British suffer from the fact that they no longer control the football. It is this due to their attacks on the FIFA ", - said Blatter in an interview with the Swiss newspaper Weltwoche.

British football authorities and journalists have long criticized Blatter and his policy as head of the International Federation of Football Associations. The most harsh criticism in his address sounded after awarding Russia the right to host the 2018 World Cup, which is also claimed by England.

Another barrage of criticism from the British media and football officials Blatter hit this spring on the background of the largest in the history of FIFA corruption scandal in which detained several senior members of the organization.

Blatter himself amid a scandal announced his intention to retire - despite the fact that he managed to be re-elected for a fifth term. At the same time as he remains head of FIFA, as a special congress, which will elect his successor, will take place no earlier than December.
