In Europe, the launch TV channel to counter Russian propaganda

At the initiative of the Polish and Dutch authorities in Europe will create a Russian-language TV channel. It can start as early as 2016 and "will deliver a true, thoroughly verified information," reports Polske radіo with reference to the Foreign Minister of Poland Grzegorz Schetyna.
"Details of the initiative on the establishment of the Russian-language channel will be presented July 20 at a meeting of heads of diplomacy of the Member States of the European Union. According Grzegorz Schetyna, September 10 conference will be held in Warsaw on the details of project financing, "- said in a statement.
"We see this initiative as a Polish-Dutch, but want others to join us," - said the head of the Polish Foreign Ministry.
According Schetyna, the project is an attempt to make available "free speech and free information" for East European, Russian and Russian-speaking minority in Eastern Europe.
"It is about creating a new project - one that guarantees not to use the language of propaganda and aggression, and to supply truthful, carefully verified information," - he added.
According Grzegorz Schetyna, Russian-language TV channel can create a program that could use an already existing Russian-language media.
"For us it is important that independent television could benefit the entire infrastructure of the Russian media," - said the head of the Polish Foreign Ministry, noting that the new channel would start work next year.
