First Deputy Chairman of the Public Chamber to support the family, children and motherhood Pavel Sychev proposed Agriculture Minister Alexander Tkachev and Minister of Economic Development Alexei Ulyukayev criminalizing the sanctions trade in agricultural and food products from the United States and the European Union, writes "News" .

"July 7, 2015 the Arbitration Court of St. Petersburg and Leningrad region declared trade in products from among fallen under Russian antisanktsii prohibited for import and legitimate. This precedent jurisprudence allow many traders to trade with impunity prohibited to import products from the EU and the US, in fact, engaged in the implementation of smuggled goods, "- said Sychev in a letter sent to ministers.

According to him, in order to prevent such a situation, it is necessary to complement existing measures to prohibit free trade products, including the introduction of criminal liability for legal entities and individuals.

Experts point out that the decision of the court can not be regarded as a precedent, since the products in question were imported into the country before the sanctions, which automatically removes them from under the definition of "illegal."
