Turkey opened its air base for the US military

Turkish Incirlik air base will soon be open for use by coalition forces in the fight against "Islamic state." The agreement was reached during a telephone conversation between US President Barack Obama and Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

"The two leaders agreed to cooperate more closely in the fight against the" IG "... In particular, it was agreed to begin the use of Incirlik air base in the interests of the coalition forces in the fight against the" IG "in the near future", - said in a statement.
The parties do not name the exact date of the start of operations with the Incirlik base. According to Turkish media, it can occur in early August.
The parties also agreed to make efforts to "stop the flow of foreign fighters and to ensure the safety of the Turkish-Syrian border."
The US president expressed his condolences to the families and friends of those killed in Suruci and assured that the US will fully support Turkey in the fight against "IG".
As reported on July 20, an explosion in the cultural center of the Turkish city Suruç 32 people were killed, about 100 injured. The incident occurred in an area where hundreds of young social workers were going to go to the Syrian city of Cobán to restore it after the attacks IG.
