First Vice-Speaker Parubii: MH17 tribunal to be considered at UN General Assembly Empty First Vice-Speaker Parubii: MH17 tribunal to be considered at UN General Assembly

Fri Jul 31, 2015 12:45 am
The First Vice-Speaker Andrii Parubii claims an international tribunal to investigate the Malaysia Airlines plane crash will be taken to the UN General Assembly.

As reported by Censor.NET citing Ukrainska Pravda, he said this on air of 5 Channel on Thursday night. "Of course, there is no doubt this issue will be taken to the UN General Assembly, where Russia can't veto. Where two-thirds of states will be able to take decisions. And I almost have no doubt this decision will be taken at the General Assembly," Parubii said.

"It (failed voting to set up a tribunal held on July 29) again gives all reasons to exclude Russia from the UN Security Council," he added. As reported before, Russia vetoed a UN SC resolution to set up an international tribunal to investigate the Malaysia Airlines plane crash on the territory of Ukraine July 17, 2014, leading to death of 298 people.

That's one option. That was the first thing that came to mind, when the decision at the UNSC was made.
