Brexit talks between the European Union and Britain have made progress and compromise.
This was announced by President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker, reports BBC.
He noted that this would pave the way for negotiations on future relations between the UK and the EU.
Theresa May arrived in Brussels on Friday, December 8, after evening talks on the Irish border.
The Prime Minister stated that there will be no hard border.
Politicians point out that "EU citizens in Britain will be able to continue to live as before."
On July 17, Brussels launched the first round of Brexit talks between Britain and the EU.
In August, Britain offered a "new customs organization" that it wants to create after Brexit. It was about plans to establish a "free trade" with the countries of Europe.
Later, The Sunday Times reported that Teresa May was ready to pay the EU 54 billion euros to Brexit in order to finally begin trade negotiations with the EU.
Brussels has required London to pay an amount of 100 billion euros, but Britain has until the last refused.
