British Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson compared Russian President Vladimir Putin with the leader of Nazi Germany Adolf Hitler.

Presidents of Russia and the USA, Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump, have agreed to instruct their foreign policy departments to begin preparations for a bilateral summit.

Operatives of the counterintelligence department of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) exposed members of espionage ring operating in the territory of the Kharkiv region, who were gathering sensitive information and passing it to the Main Intelligence Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation better known as GRU.

As reported by Censor.NET citing a statement by the SBU, it was found that the ring consisted of three local residents, one of whom was incumbent police officer.

In the course of investigation, the law enforcers documented the agents’ ties with the GRU and recorded the police captain transferring sensitive information belonging to Ukraine’s Interior Ministry to GRU members. The spies also passed personal data of servicemen involved in the anti-terrorist operation to their Russian handlers.

The law enforcement officers conducted a special operation to detain the members of the espionage ring. Having searched their homes, the SBU operatives found and seized hard evidence confirming their involvement in espionage for the Russian secret services.

The suspects were charged with high treason under part 1 of article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

Prosecutor General Yurii Lutsenko says non-affiliated Member of the Ukrainian Parliament Nadia Savchenko tried to recruit Ukrainian officers for commission of terrorist attacks.

"In the summer and autumn of 2017, Ruban and People's Deputy Savchenko were looking for accomplices and perpetrators of a terrorist act. MP Savchenko personally addressed such an offer to certain officers of different units of Ukrainian Armed Forces. In the summer of 2017, MP Savchenko made such a proposal to the officers of the Kharkiv-based 8th Regiment of the Special Operation Forces of Ukrainian Armed Forces who had this conversation with the lawmaker as they were carrying out combat missions in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) zone. Donald Tusk, the president of the European Council, said he did not congratulate President Vladimir Putin of Russia on his “reappointment” because of the Salisbury nerve agent attack.

One of EU's three top officials said on Wednesday, Censor.NET reports citing Reuters.

"After the Salisbury attack, I’m not in the mood to celebrate President Putin’s reappointment," Tusk told reporters, referring what London says was the poisoning of a former Russian spy in England directed by Moscow.
