The EU insists that Britain should pay compensation even in the case of Brexit without a deal

Britain is obliged to pay compensation for Brexit, even if it leaves the EU without a deal, said the EU's main negotiator, Michel Barnier
This is reported by Le monde.
"As for the EU budget, we have always said one simple thing: the whole set of promises made by Britain as a member of the EU must be respected," he said.
Let's remark that British Prime Minister Teresa May in December 2018 promised that London will not pay the EU the sum negotiated at the exit from the European Union if it is not possible to reach a trade agreement with Brussels.
