Against the background of deterioration of relations with Russia Britain could again host the American missiles with nuclear warheads. This statement, as reported by the British newspaper Daily Mail, did the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom Philip Hammond to Sunday, June 7.
"We have considered this question. If he had been on the agenda, the decision we have taken, together with the United States. We need to send a clear signal to Russia that we do not allow them to move on "red line", - he said.
The Foreign Minister also expressed concern about the increased activity of the Russian armed forces and Russian plans to place cruise missiles in Kaliningrad.
However, Hammond added that the West should not "make unnecessary provocation" and the question of the deployment of US nuclear missiles in the UK is hypothetical.
