Former so-called “prime minister” of the self-proclaimed “Donetsk People’s Republic” Alexander Borodai held a gathering of the “interregional NGO” called “Donbas Volunteers Union” in Moscow last week.

As reported by Censor.NET citing TASS, the event was held in the Great Patriotic War Museum in Moscow. The delegates arrived from cities in Russia, "DPR," and "LPR."

During the event, Borodai announced that the "Union" had been created for solving humanitarian issues, and militants who participated in combat activities in the Donbas "should unite to help each other in solving … problems with medical aid and employment." He stated that the Union intended to "provide humanitarian aid to the Donbas people."

Besides, the Union intends to lobby amendments to the legislation in order to allow militants receiving official status of combatants.

"This is a state matter," Borodai announced.

Former "DPR" leader also said that the "Donbas Volunteers Union" included over 1,500 members. As reported by Russian media, the gathering was attended by infamous militants "Shaman" and "Motorola", as well as clergy.
