The European Parliament abolished the mobile domestic roaming charges in the EU

The European Parliament today, 27 October 2015 passed a bill to abolish mobile roaming within the European Union (EU). This is stated in the official report of the European Parliament.
As reported, the law will come into force after its formal approval by the European Parliament and EU member states and it is expected that the law will take effect from 15 June 2017.
"Today's vote is the final result of the intensive efforts of the European Commission, aiming at the abolition of roaming services in the EU. Since mid-June 2017 Europeans while traveling in the EU will pay for mobile communication services at the same price as at home, "- said vice-president of the European Commission, Andrus Ansip.
It also reported that the legislation will protect the right of every citizen of the European Union "to access the Internet content of their choice."
It is noted that in 2016 and planned a large-scale review of the EU telecom rules, and since April 2016 the roaming service will become even easier: operators can be added to domestic prices for only a small fee: 0.05 euros per minute, 0.02 euro per each message sent and 0.05 euros per megabyte.
