2 years later: (VIDEO) shows the moment Russian-backed rebels realized they shot down a civilian airliner

This post was originally published on July 17, 2015. Sunday marks the second anniversary of the MH17 tragedy.

Footage from the MH17 disaster shows Russian-backed rebels handling bodies and rummaging through the bags of dead passengers while expressing shock that the aircraft they brought down was a commercial aircraft.

Describing the footage as "sickening to watch," Julie Bishop, Australia's foreign minister, said it was further evidence that the plane was deliberately targeted by a missile.

"It is certainly consistent with the intelligence advice that we received 12 months ago, that Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 had been shot down by a surface-to-air missile," she told Channel Nine.

Pereloma may dump Yatseniuk – Saakashvili

If Naftohaz deputy head Serhy Pereloma pays his unprecedented UAH80 mn ($3.2 mn) bail it will clearly indicate his guilt, Odesa Governor Mikheil Saakashvili said, speaking on 112 Ukrayina TV late July 17, Ukrinform reports.

Pereloma and his buddies have the money, Saakashvili said.

“Pereloma may not have the whole amount because he is just a go-between. But there are main players, Martynenko before all, who had to resign his lawmaker mandate in the wake of our investigation and, primarily, Arseny Yatseniuk.

If they provide the bail, they must be asked where the money comes from,” Saakashvili said.

“If they pay up it will be the indication of their guilt. If not, prosecutors must ask Pereloma:”Do you want to spend many years in jail or will you tell us whom you gave the stolen money to,” Saakashvili said.

Serhy Pereloma has been charged with embezzling hundreds of millions due to his illegal operations with gas.
Foreign companies willing to build quality roads in Ukraine, pay taxes, hire Ukrainian workers, - Minister Omelian

The Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine has been addressed by Azerbaijani, Turkish, Italian, German, and other countries' companies which show interest in coming to Ukraine to build quality roads.

Minister of Infrastructure Volodymyr Omelian said at a news conference on July 18, Censor.NET reports citing the Ministry of Infrastructure press service.

"When foreign companies saw that the Ukrainian government does not speak the language of declarations and has indeed allocated funds for the restoration of Ukrainian roads, they became more active. We have been addressed by Azerbaijani, Turkish, Italian, German, and other countries' companies. They are willing to come to Ukraine and build quality roads.

"Moreover, they are ready to not just come from abroad but to register in Ukraine, pay taxes, employ Ukrainian workers. The only way to keep this trend is setting up a road fund so that the companies see that this is a systemic investment of money rather than a one-time campaign. I hope we'll be able to talk about systemic work in the next year," Omelian stressed.

Earlier, Prime Minister Volodymyr Hroisman demanded to accelerate the repair of roads in Ukraine and warned officials from stealing funds. The Cabinet of Ministers has allocated additional 1.5 billion hryvnia (approx. $60.358 million) for road repairs. According to Omelian, 97 percent of roads in Ukraine are worn out. In Ukrainian/український

Recently traveling throughout the western and southern parts of Ukraine, I couldn't believe how bad the roads were. I've been traveling to Ukraine since 2004 and declined to rent a car, not for the road conditions which I knew were bad in Odessa, but due to the crazy drivers which should also be addressed, with harsher consequences.

Driving through Ukraine, I had to pay more attention to the road than to enjoy its beauty. I can imagine how many tourists don't return to Ukraine for that main reason. I was shocked at how the Ford Focus I drove put up with it.

So! If I was the prime minister, I'd get on the ball on this and make it happen QUICKLY! Ukraine's losing a lot of money from tourism, due to this major issue, plus the cost of auto maintenance to people that can't afford it. Let's make it happen, Ukraine.

Local residents in Donetsk area protested against the deployment of artillery near their homes which are used by rebels as a shield, Ukraine army intelligence says July 19.

“July 17, servicemen of the 1st Brigade (Komsomolske) wounded three locals when they dispersed the peaceful demonstration against placing heavy artillery near their homes,” the report says.

To cover up this fact, the Russian occupation command is actively spreading rumors that the shooting was the doing of a servicemen dismissed from the rebel army due to his mental disorders, Ukraine army says.
Seven Ukrainian soldiers killed in eastern regions amid surge in violence
....Ukrainian military spokesman Andriy Lysenko said separatists had been firing high-caliber mortars at government positions, naming the rebel-controlled town of Horlivka and the outskirts of rebel-held Luhansk as particular hotspots.
"On average every attack lasts for at least thirty minutes and can last for up to two hours. That's how it was yesterday," Lysenko said, without giving details on how the soldiers were killed.....

Labour has the stench of death – meet the killers
....I say Milne could not do a better job of keeping the Tories in power if rogue MI5 agents had groomed him at Winchester College, signed him up at Oxford University and instructed him to infiltrate and destroy the Labour party.
He is what the far left becomes when it crashes through the looking glass. Milne defended Stalin’s one-party communist state but is now turning England into a one-party Tory state....

The most comprehensive guide ever to MH17 conspiracies

Conspiracy 5. MH17 is actually the flight of MH370 which vanished over the Indian Ocean and it was full of corpses when it took off from Amsterdam.
This theory was pitched by Russian FSB colonel and terrorist leader Igor Girkin and published in the pro-terrorist website Russkaya Vesna. Read about it in English here and here.

Conspiracy 6. MH17 was blown up from inside the cockpit in special operation.
The source of this conspiracy is an interview by LifeNews with an alleged “expert” who claimed to have purchased recordings from Ukraine’s Security Service with conversations of Ukrainian military pilots that observed a supposed explosion inside the plane.

Conspiracy 7. The CIA downed MH17
Once again, it was Komsomolskaya Pravda that contributed to spreading this conspiracy, publishing an “intercepted call” recording of two CIA spies that spoke in English so lousy it was dismissed as Russian propaganda by, for instance, the Daily Mail....
87 percent of Ukrainian soldiers and 50 percent of civilians were tortured in "LPR"and "DPR" captivity.

Director of the Kharkiv Human Rights Group Yevhen Zakharov said at a news conference in Kyiv, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrinform.

According to him, Ukrainian law enforcement agencies should have documented these crimes and instituted criminal proceedings against persons who commit them. But this work is done by NGOs that collect data, register such crimes, and file claims to the European Court of Human Rights regarding violation of the relevant articles of the European Convention.

He also stressed that since the beginning of the conflict in the Donbas, a number of extraordinary human rights violations has been recorded in the anti-terrorist operation area: mass extrajudicial executions, politically motivated abductions, tortures, illegal imprisonment, sexual violence, etc. "These crimes have become widespread and systematic," the human rights activist remarked.

"We haven't had such crimes before. This is the first time we have faced these violations, and it all emerged after the beginning of Russia's armed aggression and the establishment of its simulacra in the territory of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, namely the so-called "Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics," he said.

As of May 26, 3,044 Ukrainians had been found or released from captivity over the two years of the war.

Russian tanks in the Donbass - Marchuk
[The number of ] Russian tanks in temporarily occupied areas is higher than in Germany and the UK combined.
This is in the air "on Channel 5," said the representative of Ukraine in Minsk talks Yevhen Marchuk.
He assured that the Ukrainian intelligence knows for sure, through which the railway switch or the border with the Russian side come the trains, how many and which machines were brought there, then where is this technology and where it is unloaded.
"It is known that on the other side is 702 tanks three modifications, this modern tanks, tanks ready for battle. Artillery systems different, receiver artillery, rocket and mortar - it's more than a thousand. Not to mention other options, but it is most important components military nature, which are usually associated with the actions of an offensive nature. Or causing a great loss to the opposite side, "- said Ukrainian negotiators.
Marchuk also said that on the attenuation of the conflict in Donbas can talk in terms of active attacks, but in terms of the accumulation of all components, down to field hospitals, reconnaissance, arms depots, repaired vehicles, this shows that Russia is not going to go from there.
