EU Council has introduced a number of new sectoral sanctions against North Korea through the country's nuclear program aimed at the energy sector and labor market

This is reported on the website of the Council of the EU.

Such a move has been made by Brussels to implement the UN Security Council. Thus, extended sanctions against the DPRK include restrictions on the sale of petroleum products and crude oil to North Korea, including the ban on the sale of gas condensate liquids in the DPRK and the import of textiles.

In addition, countries are prohibited from issuing new work permits for DPRK citizens. The decision was made in connection with the nuclear tests of Pyongyang.

-Recall that on September 3, the DPRK government announced a successful test of a thermonuclear warhead for an intercontinental ballistic missile.

-In response to the DPRK's actions, Donald Trump called North Korea a threat to the United States and said that talks with Pyongyang would not help.

-ONN has imposed new sanctions against North Korea.

-The United States imposed sanctions against North Korean bankers in Russia.

-China ordered the closure of all DPRK companies in the country through UN sanctions.

-The UN has forbidden all ports in the world to accept several ships violating sanctions against the DPRK.
