Hungarian party condemned Orban for blocking Ukraine's course towards NATO and the EU

on Wed Oct 03, 2018 11:32 am
Hungarian party condemned Orban for blocking Ukraine's course towards NATO and the EU

The Hungarian Liberal Party believes that a permanent impediment to Ukraine's integration with NATO is a serious irresponsibility on the part of the Government of Viktor Orban

This is stated in the statement of the press service of political forces.

"The party is convinced that Ukraine's accession to NATO in Ukraine is as soon as possible in the interests of Hungary and the Transcarpathian Hungarian community. We agree with the Orban government that the Ukrainian educational law will have a negative impact on the situation of our compatriots living in our eastern neighborhoods, but at the same time we believe that the much higher risk is that without NATO support Ukraine will become a victim of Russia, "the statement said.

In the last period, more and more news came about the fact that the attacks on the Transcarpathian Hungarian community are not Ukrainian nationalists, but pro-Russian right-wing radical groups, emphasized in the party.

"In the war against Russian separatists, which is taking place on the eastern borders of the state, all the new Hungarian soldiers serving in the Ukrainian army are killed. The unequivocal interest of the Hungarian minority is the earliest possible accession of Ukraine to NATO and the European Union, the Liberal Party emphasizes that after receiving membership, it would be easier to make changes to the problematic educational law", - the liberals point out.

The party is convinced that by blocking Ukraine's membership in NATO, the Orban government risks the fact that Kiev "will irretrievably fall into the Russian sphere of interests."

"We believe that the office of the Fides party, which has friendly relations with Putin, blocks the integration of Kyiv with the North Atlantic Treaty Organization not because of the request of the Russian side. We ask the Orban government to do everything necessary to protect the Transcarpathian Hungarians and the integrity of Ukraine. to NATO and the EU!" - added in the party.

Hungary blocks meetings in the framework of Ukraine's cooperation with the EU and NATO through the law on education adopted by Kyiv, which entered into force on September 28, 2017.

Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Siyyarto confirmed that Hungary will not support

_Ukraine's rapprochement with NATO, unless Kyiv "will not stop the attack on the Hungarian minority."

US Nato envoy says Russia's missiles violating arms control treaty to be "taken out"

on Wed Oct 03, 2018 11:36 am
US Nato envoy says Russia's missiles violating arms control treaty to be "taken out"

The US ambassador to Nato has warned Russia that if it does not halt the development of a new cruise missile in violation of a treaty between the countries, the US will "take out" the missile.

As reported by Censor.NET citing The Guardian, U.S. NATO Envoy Kay Bailey Hutchison was speaking to reporters about a longstanding issue of contention, a Russian ground-launched cruise missile which Washington says breaks the 1987 Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty (INF).

Moscow has denied the charge, and the Trump administration has announced plans to develop its own medium-range cruise missile in response, raising the spectre of a new nuclear arms race.

But Hutchison went further in her remarks and appeared to suggest the possibility of a pre-emptive strike when the Russian missiles became operational.

"The counter-measures would be to take out the missiles that are in development by Russia in violation of the treaty," the envoy said, mistakenly referring to the missile in question as a ballistic missile, rather than a cruise missile. She also suggested the missile, known as 9M729, was still in development, but the U.S. accused Russia of deploying it last year.

"Getting them to withdraw would be our choice, of course. But I think the question was what would you do if this continues to a point where we know that they are capable of delivering. And at that point we would then be looking at a capability to take out a missile that could hit any of our countries in Europe and hit America in Alaska."

The Russian foreign ministry accused Hutchison of dangerous rhetoric.

"It seems that people who make such statements do not realise the level of their responsibility and the danger of aggressive rhetoric," the ministry spokeswoman, Maria Zakharova, said, according to Tass news agency.

A few hours later, Hutchison clarified her remarks on Twitter, insisting she was "not talking about preemptively striking Russia", adding that Russia "needs to return to INF Treaty compliance or we will need to match its capabilities to protect U.S. and NATO interests".

Hutchison did not specifically explain what she meant by her warning that the U.S. would "take out" the Russian missile.

A U.S. threat of a preemptive strike against Russia would be unprecedented since the end of the cold war, and a dangerous new departure in rhetoric and military posture towards Russia.

"If she is saying that if the diplomatic route doesn’t work we will destroy the missiles, that’s obviously dangerous and risks triggering a war that could go nuclear," Daryl Kimball, the head of the Arms Control Association, said. "I cannot recall anything like this in the post cold-war period."

Some nuclear experts speculated that Hutchison may have misspoken, and meant to say that the US would develop ways of destroying the Russian missile for use in the event of a conflict.

Hans Kristensen, the director of the nuclear information project at the Federation of American Scientists, said: "I don’t think the Nato ambassador is threatening pre-emptive attacks against Russian development of INF weapons. She did a poor job in trying to repeat what the US has been saying for several years; that it is contemplating measures in response to the Russian INF violation.

"That can include tweaking existing strike capabilities to hold the new weapons at risk, developing new ones for potential deployment, and/or increasing economic and political pressure on Moscow to return to compliance."

Kristensen said: "This is going to feed right into the paranoia of Russian planners. She will definitely have to make a follow-up statement to clarify what she intended to say."

Putin about the Violinist: "He's just crap, and it's all"

Putin about the Violinist: "He's just crap, and it's all"

Russian President Vladimir Putin called Sergey Skripal, an ex-employee of the GRU, "a fugitive and a traitor."

According to Censor.NET, referring to TASS, Putin said this at a plenary session of the Russian Energy Week forum, answering questions about anti-Russian sanctions and the work of the Violinist.

"Some sources of information push the idea that Mr Skripal is almost a human rights defender," Putin said. "He's just an espionage, a traitor to the Motherland, he's just crap and everything."

Putin considers the lagoon version of the British side about the circumstances of the case of Salisbury, emphasizing that "nobody needed" was to plunder Sergei Skripal and other residents of the United Kingdom.

"You want to say that we still have some homeless poisoned there or what?" - the president of the Russian Federation commented on the words of the moderator of the festival, who recalled that there were other victims of the same neuroparalytic gas allegedly used in the attack on the violinist. "I sometimes look at what's going on around this thing, I'm just surprised: some men came and started to chase out the no-hawkers here in you in the UK. What are they doing at lunch? Are they working at the cleaning company?" - added Putin.

"I do not need anyone (there was nobody there) to fool. This violinist, he is a traitor, as I said, he was caught, he was punished, he spent a total of five years in jail, we let him go. continued to cooperate, advised some special services, and what?" - stressed the president of the Russian Federation.

On September 26th, the third part of the Bellingcat and The Insider investigation reveals that the real name of Ruslan Boshirov, who is accused of poisoning violinists, is Anatoly Chepiga. He is a Colonel of the GRU, born on April 5, 1979, in the village of Nikolaevka in the Amur region, graduated from the Far Eastern High Command Command College with honors and went to serve in the 14th GRU Special Purpose Brigade. Chepiga was on a business trip to Chechnya for three times, the unit he served was also seen next to the Ukrainian border in 2014. The Insider and Bellingcat reported that they identified the identity of one of the poisoners Sergei Skrypka. According to their data, "Ruslan Boshirov" is a Colonel of the GRU, the hero of Russia Anatoly Chepyga.

Journalists managed to visit the village, where Chepiga lived for a long time. Peasants recognized him and told that he had long been "in secret service."

Recall that an investigation into an assassination attempt by Sergei Skryptal and his daughter, Julia, continues. Serhiy Skripal, an ex-colonel of the GRU stockpile, who lives in the UK, convicted in 2006 of espionage in favor of British intelligence services, was injured as a result of poisoning with an unknown substance at the Salisbury shopping mall.

It should also be noted that on March 12, Prime Minister Teresa May announced that the British government had come to the conclusion that the responsibility for poisoning in Salisbury, a former GRG employee Sergey Skripal and his daughter, is most likely to lie in Russia. She also said that the victims were poisoned by the nerve-paralytic substance "Novachok", which was developed in the Russian Federation.

On Wednesday, March 14, May announced the decision of London to send 23 Russian diplomats who work for intelligence: "This will be the largest single expulsion in more than 30 years. This (this measure) reflects the fact that the Russian state is not the first time acting against our country."

On March 20, 23 Russian embassy staffers in London, as well as their families, left Great Britain.

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said that 13 Russian diplomats are signing solidarity with their British partners and transatlantic allies and in coordination with the European Union.

Russia continues to build troops in the Arctic, - the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Norway

Russia continues to build troops in the Arctic, - the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Norway

The development of the Russian Federation of military forces in the Arctic threatens regional security and stability.

According to Censor.NET, referring to Ukrinform , the opinion was expressed in an interview with Reuters by Foreign Minister of Norway, Ina Eriksen Seride.

"There is no reason to believe that potential clashes may begin in the Arctic, but they can easily move here if they start. This is, of course, because of Russia's reformation of its military capabilities, especially on the Kola Peninsula," said Sereyda.

Reuters adds that Norway has also significantly strengthened the defense of its northern regions bordering Russia in recent years. "Norway ordered 52 F-35 Lockheed Martin fighters, developed infrastructure for their services and acquired four new submarines of the German company ThyssenKrupp. In addition, a mechanized battalion is being strengthened at a military base in the Finmark region bordering Russia," the material said.

Norway will also play an important role in the current NATO Trident Juncture exercises, which will be the largest for the Alliance since 2002.

The United States is ready to impose sanctions against India in the event of the purchase of Russian anti-aircraft missile systems S-400

The United States is ready to impose sanctions against India in the event of the purchase of Russian anti-aircraft missile systems S-400.

Reuters reports.

"We urge all our allies and partners to abandon agreements with Russia that may trigger sanctions within CAATSA," the statement said.

According to the publication, India's armed forces intend to use ARM to curb China and gain an edge over their traditional rival, which is Pakistan.

It is planned that an agreement on this purchase, estimated at more than $ 5 billion, will be signed during the annual meeting of Russian President Vladimir Putin with the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi.

It should be noted that last month the United States imposed sanctions against China for the acquisition of combat fighters and C-400, which Beijing bought in Russia this year.

The Kharkiv deputy was a spy of the FSB: details were provided to the SBU

A member of the Kharkiv City Council spied on the Kremlin special services.

As the local media outline, it's about the head of the administration of the Kholodnogorsk district of Kharkiv, Maxim Musieyev.

Russia apologized for organizing doping at the Olympics-2014, but hiding it from Russians

on Wed Oct 03, 2018 11:52 am
Russia apologized for organizing doping at the Olympics-2014, but hiding it from Russians

Russia recognized the conclusions of the commission of Schmid, in particular, that in Russia there was a widely developed doping culture that, at least since 2011, there was a fraudulent scheme of manipulation of doping tests, which was used, in particular, at the Olympics in Sochi, which were involved in the scheme by ministry officials Sports, RUSADA, Sports Training Center and other organizations. That is, Russia has recognized all that from which it has been so actively disconnected.

This was written in his account by a Russian blogger, reports Censor.NET

"The Russian anti-doping agency RUSADA has been restored by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) on September 20, 2018. Previously, the restraint was hampered by the two requirements that WADA has put in to Russia: the recognition of McLaren's findings, the access to the Moscow anti-doping laboratory samples seized by the RF Investigative Committee as part of the criminal investigation a case brought in 2016. Why in the Russian pro-governmental press, commenting on the consent of the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation with these requirements of the WADA, willingly talk about the second item, but practically do not want to write about what was "Why Russian sports officials also do not comment on the adoption of the first paragraph of the requirements?" - he said, adding that "propaganda and simply unprofessional notes, in which inconvenient facts are rejected, are not taken into account or there is a substitution of concepts,

"In mid-September 2018, the Western sports press stirred up a mess of correspondence between the leadership of the World Anti-Doping Agency and the Minister of Sports of Russia. It turned out that WADA was prepared to reinstate RUSADA's rights after Russia's recognition of the findings of the report of the Schmid Commission and access to the database and samples of the Moscow anti-doping laboratory, and Russia has agreed to fulfill these conditions. To remove all questions, WADA posted the texts on these pages on September 15, 2018. Unfortunately, there was not the first one from which everything started, "said the blogger, and cited the text of this letter.

"The text of a letter from Russian officials dated May 14, 2018 (in the original language):

Dear Sir Craig Reedy!
We, the signatories below, represent the main organizations managing Russian sports.
The serious crisis that affected Russian sports was caused by a number of unacceptable violations in the anti-doping system, which were identified with the help of WADA (Pound Independent Commission, McLaren independent expert) and IOC (Schmid Commission).

As a result of the investigation undertaken, the IOC Executive Committee made a decision on December 5, as a result of which the Olympic Committee of Russia (ROC) was denied recognition. We adopted and implemented the decision of the IOC, based on the investigation of the Schmid commission.

On behalf of all the organizations that we represent, we sincerely regret that the manipulations took place in Russia. We assure that all organizations are taking the necessary steps to monitor the observance of anti-doping rules by individual athletes and Russian national teams, as well as coaches, doctors and other personnel, in order to fully comply with the requirements of the WADA Anti-Doping Code.

It is important to note that recent CAS decisions have raised reasonable doubts about the credibility of the testimony provided by the former head of the Moscow Anti-Doping Laboratory, Grigory Rodchenkov of the IOC Disciplinary Commission, which resulted in sanctions against individual athletes.

Together with WADA, our organizations and the government of the Russian Federation are responsible for ensuring the integrity of sports (clause 16 of the International Convention against Doping in Sport 2005, clause 20 of the WADA Anti-Doping Code). We assure you that any possible manipulations were carried out without our knowledge or approval.

In this regard, it is important to recall the speech of March 1, 2017 in Krasnoyarsk, in which Mr. Putin said:

- Despite the shortcomings in the work, we must pay attention to what the Independent Commission said. We must pay attention to the requirements of WADA and recognize that there have been cases of doping. This is absolutely unacceptable. This means that the existing anti-doping control system in Russia did not work, and this is our fault. We have to say it out loud and admit it.

We also want to assure you that we have learned from this crisis. Certain reforms are being carried out now, and we are confident that they will help us fight doping in our country more effectively. Reforms include criminal punishment for inclining an athlete to use prohibited substances, withdrawing the Russian Ministry of Sports from the founders of RUSADA, new financial rules and increasing subsidies for the organization, and transferring control over the Moscow anti-doping laboratory to Moscow State University.

We confirm that measures will be taken in relation to persons implicated in doping schemes. Such people will never again be related to the Russian anti-doping system. We reaffirm our commitment to verify that RUSADA and other organizations, including sports federations, can carry out their functions effectively and without outside interference.

We also assure you that we fully support the investigation organized by the Investigative Committee of Russia regarding alleged anti-doping rule violations. We believe that the guilty will be punished in accordance with the law.

We sincerely believe that all attempts undertaken by WADA, IOC, IPC, OKR, RCC, the Ministry of Sport of the Russian Federation and the Independent Anti-Doping Commission will bear fruit and a time will come when WADA completely restores RUSADA rights, and IOC, IPC and international organizations will again allow Russian athletes to world sports competitions on the same rights as athletes from other countries. These decisions will be an incentive for active athletes and young athletes in the future.

Regards,
Minister of Sports of Russia Pavel Kolobkov
President of the Russian Olympic Committee Alexander Zhukov
President of the Russian Paralympic Committee Vladimir Lukin."

Russia has threatened to impose a veto on the UN to change the name of Macedonia

Russia has threatened to impose a veto on the UN to change the name of Macedonia

Russia threatens to use its veto on the UN Security Council to ban Macedonia from changing its name under an agreement with Greece

EUobserver writes about it.

"Macedonian voters have decided to boycott the decision," and Russia, "as a permanent member of the UN Security Council, is watching closely the events," the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated.

In the referendum in Macedonia, more than 90% of the citizens who came to the polls supported the change of country's name to the Republic of Northern Macedonia. However, the turnout at the referendum was very low - about 37%. To recognize the referendum as valid, it should have voted more than 50% of voters.

The referendum has an advisory nature, and the final decision on the renaming of Macedonia will be taken in the country's parliament.

The following question was put to the vote: "Do you advocate for membership in the European Union and NATO through an agreement between the Republic of Macedonia and the Hellenic Republic?"

In the framework of the signed agreement with Greece, Macedonia has agreed to change its name to the Republic of Northern Macedonia, while Greece has agreed to lift its long-standing veto on Macedonia's integration into NATO and the EU.

The Greeks do not like the Republic of Macedonia because it corresponds to the name of the Greek region of Macedonia.
