Igor Strelkov (Hirkin), a former leader of the so-called "DPR", blew himself up with criticism of the current leader of Donetsk guerrillas Alexander Zakharchenko and assistant to Russian President Vladislav Surkov, who is the curator of so-called "republics."

In an interview with The Insider, he pointed to the lack of military skills in Zakharchenko.

"I considered the military talents of Zakharchenko to be zero and not mistaken. A person who has a rank of Sergeant of the police who did not even serve, as far as I understand, the regular service in the army, can not lead the military actions, and he did not impress the native talent," - he said.

According to Strelkov, to head the so-called "DNR" Zakharchenko managed thanks to contacts with Surkov.

"Well, I do not know, he and Boroday went with Surkov to meet, so, apparently, and dropped the choice, that is, the formal main command, and why and how it happened ... Surkov always selects the crap", - said the gunman.

Strelkov also added that Surkov's activities were long before the events in Ukraine and supposedly when he learned that he would be in charge of "LNR / DPR", he realized that they would "merge".
