Russia completely destroys international order- Merkel

Moscow has destroyed the international order by its actions in eastern Ukraine and Crimea, but Germany is not going to cease efforts to restore it.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel said this, speaking in German Parliament on Wednesday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"Respect for human rights is essential condition for peaceful partnership. However, Russia has completely destroyed this order by annexation of Crimea and support for separatism in eastern Ukraine," Merkel said.

"For the last few months, we have been reiterating that the crisis in Ukraine could be resolved by diplomatic means aimed at restoration of Ukraine's territorial integrity," Head of Government said.

The Chancellor noted that "the February Minsk package of measures is the guide in this path."

"Since early September, after many defeats, we have got ceasefire, though it's still fragile," Merkel mentioned, admitting that the goal has not been reached yet.
