Austria will not take the prescribed numbers of refugees until they are stopped by uncontrolled migration flows

Austria plans to build a new border fence as part of efforts aimed at resolving the current immigration crisis in Europe. In an interview with the weekly WeltamSonntag said Interior Minister Johanna Mickle-Leitner, reports DW.

"We must assume that after the closing of the" Balkan route "the refugees will use other routes so we are ready to defend the Austrian border and other checkpoints.", - Said Mickle-Leitner.

The head of the Austrian Ministry of the Interior emphasized that her country will not accept her designated refugee contingents as long until they are stopped by uncontrolled migration flows in Europe.

"The main condition for the distribution of the Syrians in the territory of Greece and Turkey, is to ensure the protection of EU external borders and refusal of asylum optimization of the system throughout Europe", - she said.

Johanna Mickle-Leitner also expressed serious doubts about the planned contract with Turkey as part of the settlement of the migration crisis. She said that cooperation with Turkey is correct - but not at any price, reports "RBK-Ukraine".

Recall, the Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras said that Austria and the Balkan countries "destroy" Europe.
