In Fort Lauderdale, Florida, hundreds of people came to the rally, demanding the power to change the law and make more stringent rules on the use of weapons in the country.
This is reported by CNN.
The protests began after February 14, when a former student fired at one of the state schools, causing 17 deaths and dozens of injured people.
Participant of the rally and school student Emma Gonzalez in a speech said that the local authorities demand "to do something" from the authorities in order to prevent mass shootings.
"We do not understand why it's harder to plan something with friends than we buy weapons on weekends," she said.
It is noted that after firing, US President Donald Trump visited the victims in hospitals. The local airline offered traffickers families free of charge tickets. And the school administration made an offer to demolish the building of an educational institution where shooting took place.
As of February 18, there are three victims in hospitals.
Recall that as a result of shooting in the city of Parkland, Florida , 17 people died . Five wounded - in a difficult condition.
The suspect is a 19-year-old former student at the Nicholas Cruise School, who had been expelled from the educational institution "through discipline". Law enforcers detained him.
Later it became known that 19-year-old Cruz is a member of the nationalist organization of the Republic of Florida.
