Poroshenko vetoed the law on subsidies to pensioners

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko vetoed the law passed by parliament №2676 on the order calculation of subsidies for pensioners and the disabled. This was announced by the President in the government of Alexander Danyluk at the briefing in the office of the President, reports "Ukrinform" .
"But the President vetoed the law, which amends the Law of Ukraine on housing and communal services in the calculation of the subsidy for pensioners and the disabled. The President believes that this law restricts the rights of citizens and contradicts the policy of simplifying the procedure for obtaining grants, which is held by the government, "- said Danyluk.
According to him, the government also proposed to veto the law.
At the same time, Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine Pavlo Rozenko noted that the President vetoed the law, defended the rights of pensioners and disabled people to receive subsidies.
"The law was hastily passed by the Verkhovna Rada, and despite the wonderful name and a desire to simplify the procedure of registration of the alleged subsidies, in fact it greatly complicates and limits the rights of a number of citizens to receive subsidies," - said the Minister.
Rozenko added that if the law took effect, two million people have been deprived of a right to receive subsidies.
Recall, Deputy Minister sotspolitiki Vitaly Muschinin reported that the number of families receiving subsidies in this year increased by 3.8 times. At the end of June this year the government has simplified declaration for the calculation of subsidies for housing and communal services tariffs, withdrawing the count of the amount of income.
