ExxonMobil quits Crimea because of Russian annexation

A major US oil / gas extracting company, ExxonMobil, has announced it is closing down its office. The company had planned to drill for oil and gas on the Black Sea shelf near Crimea, UNIAN reports Aug. 6.
ExxonMobil will keep its other offices in mainland Ukraine open, the company says.
The company is involved in the sales of motor oil.
In July, 2015, Chevron announced the closure of its office in Ukraine.
