Tens of dead raped girls found off the coast of Italy: Video

In Italy, law enforcement officers began an investigation into the death of 26 Nigerian girls, mostly teenagers whose bodies were found in the Mediterranean Sea. Most of the dead were between 14 and 18 years old.

According to preliminary information, dead girls could be raped and killed when trying to cross the sea and reach Europe.

In the port city of Salerno, five migrants have already been detained in this case. Previously, a Spanish ship "Cantabria" arrived in this locality with 375 migrants who were rescued in the Mediterranean Sea.

Most of the killed girls were on an inflatable boat, which was still 64 people.

According to Italian media, the bodies of women are stored in the freezer chamber of the ship.

According to La Repubblica, the bulk of the rescued migrants come from the states of North Africa: Nigeria, Senegal, Ghana, the Gambia and the Sudan.
