In January and February this year, more than a thousand children were killed in Syria. Last year, 910 children died and 361 children were injured.

According to Censor.NET, referring to DW , the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) said on Monday, March 12.

"It's a merciless violence against children," said Christian Schneider, UNICEF director in Germany, saying that inhumane conditions for children are kept, since the end of the war is not visible. According to him, no Syrian child can escape the consequences of the war. After all, many boys and girls who survived, lost relatives, injured or injured. "The whole generation of war invalids is growing in the country," says Schneider. The threat lurks children in Syria everywhere, because there are many unexploded shells on playgrounds and schools.

According to UNICEF, 1.5 million Syrian children have a disability, and 86,000 amputated limbs. Such children are particularly vulnerable, because they do not receive the necessary conditions for recovery through the war.

Seven years after the start of the war in Syria, about 69% of people live in poverty. The average earnings of Syrians is less than two dollars a day. Millions of Syrian children can not attend school. Particularly worried about UNICEF's situation in East Gut, where about 400,000 people were in siege, half of whom were children. Almost 40% of minors are permanently malnourished.

UNICEF calls on all parties to the conflict to stop the fire. "The war against children should be stopped immediately," says Schneider.
