Zuckerberg redeemed the newspapers and apologized to the British for the flow of data from Facebook

The founder of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg, has redeemed several editions to apologize to the British for a massive leak of data from the social network.

This was reported by Reuters.

"We are responsible for protecting your information. If we can not do this, we do not deserve to provide services to you, "Zuckerberg replied in the newspapers.

It is believed that massive use of Facebook data could have affected the outcome of the referendum on the UK's exit from the European Union.

A plain black text on a white background with a small Facebook logo appeared in several British newspapers, in particular, The Observer - The Guardian, one of the first to report the leakage of data from the social network.

Advertisers Mozilla and the German bank Commerzbank after the scandal with Facebook suspended the ads on social pages, and the Internet in the meantime launched the hashed #DeleteFacebook (remove Facebook).

Recall that Cambridge Analytica, an analyst with Donald Trump's US presidential campaign, illegally accessed more than 50 million Facebook users.

Cambridge Analytica offers services to business and policy makers that allow "behavior change". That is, to influence their choice - whether it will be buying a sofa, or electing a president.

Zuckerberg lost more than $ 5 billion through the data stream of 50 million Facebook users.

Journalists found that Cambridge Analytica was collecting data about Donbas at the request of the authorities.

Zuckerberg acknowledged the mistakes of the scandal regarding the use of personal data. Facebook has blocked access to any services for Cambridge Analytica.

Mark Zuckerberg was invited to the European Parliament to explain the situation.
