The poet and singer Bob Dylan refused to go to the Nobel Prize.

In his letter to the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences said that he has some "before these obligations" and therefore he can not be in December in Stockholm to receive the prize.
As stated in the Academy, although it is not usual that the winner refuses to come to the ceremony, but still this is not the first time. The only requirement to Dylan organizers of the award - that he delivered the traditional Nobel speech within six months after December 10, not necessarily in Sweden.
Bob Dylan was declared winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature on 13 October. He got it with the phrase "for the creation of a new poetic language in the great American song tradition." Over the next two weeks, Dylan did not say a word about the award. Subsequently, he still called to Sweden and expressed gratitude.
Earlier, Dylan agreed to accept the award of the Nobel Prize for Literature. Artist contacted the permanent secretary of the Swedish Academy Sarah Denius and explained that news of the award has deprived him speechless.
