German Foreign Minister Zigmar Gabriel criticized US President Donald Trump for threatening the DPRK and pointed to the danger of unleashing a nuclear war.
As informs Censor.NET with reference to DW , he reported this on August 9, during his visit to Uganda.
According to the German minister, Trump's rhetoric raises concerns and fears that "like in the case of the First World War, we will come to war in a somnambulist state, only this time to a war that will, under certain circumstances, be conducted with nuclear weapons."
The German minister drew attention to the fact that the democratically elected president uses the same aggressive rhetoric as the one that has so far proceeded from the North Korean regime. According to Gabriel, one can not reply to Pyongyang with the same expressions, so as not to spiral the escalation of the conflict even more.
Gabriel also recalled the words of US Secretary of Defense James Mattis, That the war with North Korea will entail as many casualties as it has not been since the Second World War.
"Therefore, it is necessary to take care of the security of this region.I can only hope that the US will dominate the point of view of those who are approaching difficult issues with a cold head , And not under the influence of emotions and aggression, which we observed the day before, "the German minister stressed.
Recall, Donald Trump, spending his vacation at his golf club in New Jersey, told reporters earlier that new threats from Pyongyang will be met by "fire and fury." In continuation of his words, the president wrote a tweet, In which he recalled the presence of Washington's powerful nuclear arsenal.
After that Secretary of State Rex Tillerson had to make a soft statement that in the last 24 hours no radical changes had taken place and there was no "imminent" threat of war with Pyongyang.
