US intelligence agencies have prevented a threat to security of the Pope during his upcoming visit to the United States, said the chairman of the Committee on National Security House of Representatives, reports ABC.
"We are closely watching what may threaten the Pope during his visit to the United States. In particular, we prevented one such case. His arrival is getting closer, and I think that we all show special vigilance to ensure its security in the United States, "- he said.
The intelligence services say that the Pope loves to go to the people, which entails a serious threat.
