Germany tightens immigration laws

On Thursday, October 15 despite the sharp criticism from the opposition and human rights organizations, the Bundestag passed a package of laws that significantly toughen immigration laws. For the change in the law voted 475 deputies, against - 68, another 57 abstained.
According to the document, the list of safe countries of origin will include Albania, Kosovo and Montenegro. This will speed up the process of the expulsion of their citizens to their homeland after the application for asylum. Also plans to accelerate the expulsion from Germany of migrants who seek asylum in the country for economic reasons. Refugees who have expired stay in Germany will now be expelled from the country without warning.
In addition, financial assistance to the refugees in the areas of primary distribution will be possible to replace the social. Payments will be made available to migrants only a month in advance, certain groups will reduce the allowance.
The document also provides financial assistance to federal lands and continued participation in government spending on migrants. Since 2016 the government intends to allocate land for 670 euros per month for each refugee since its registration until the end of the consideration of petitions. The following year, the land may receive from the federal budget of about 4 billion euros.
Already October 16 bill will be tabled in the Bundesrat and, if approved, will come into force in November.
