Torrential rain and gale force winds have continued to batter northern Britain on December 30.
Storm Frank, the third major storm in less than a month, has flooded streets, leaving thousands without powers and forcing evacuation.
In Dumfries, south-west Scotland, water from the river Nith poured into the town's high street, severely damaging homes and disrupting local businesses..................
