The EU can not afford to leave the Greek authorities alone with the influx of migrants, said German Chancellor Angela Merkel in an interview with ARD television channel.
"We can not leave this country to its fate", - she said.
Merkel also stressed that fears of unilateral measures and the closure of national borders within the EU.
